So when I am attempting to use the cms or surv12 kit to repair a broken limb, instead of the animation playing, my character reverts to holding an invisible gun, and the game becomes extremely buggy, being able to see through walls, head bobbing cranked to max, is there a way to fix this? thank you.

Made an account to help with this. I’m having the same issue listed here. After some tinkering and reinstalling a few times I found that its related to importing my live settings. This was due to me enabling the continuous healing on live. After reinstalling and resetting the controls to default I was able to use cms and surv kits. I hope this fixes it for you. Once the rollback patch happens ill look at other ways to fix it while keeping the settings.

Well. That would make sense since that setting wasn't introduced until .16. I just want to be able to play tarkov without getting stuck in a spot and having to abandon because I can't move.

  • Did a quick check now that the patch is out. You should be able to import your control settings if you disable the continuous healing on live. Hope this helps, happy raiding!

  • Hi Jinxie-Boy,

Thank you for your testing and for recreating the issue!

I'm new to SPT and I'm not sure what steps I should take to fix this.

    What I've tried so far:

    • Checked the continuous healing setting in Live Tarkov, and it was disabled.
    • Reset settings in the SPT launcher, but the problem persists.

    Additional issue:

    • The icon for the Surv12 field surgical kit is not loading in the stash.

The problem occurred for me already before. I briefly checked it, and it seems to be the only item that isn't loading.

    Thnaks for helping!

  • First time poster here.

I had this issue and was able to fix it for myself after checking a couple reddit posts.

Doing a complete, fresh reinstall of SPT, reinstalling all mods, and cleaning temp files in the launcher settings fixed it. Here's the reddit post discussing it:

    I hope this helps! Cheers.

  • Kainomatic,

Okay keeping the profile might come with a complication but you CAN keep it. I am not an expert on this part but from my understanding- You pull your 'bepinex' and 'user' folders out of the SPT directory before you completely delete the SPT directory to do a fresh install, then you replace the new, fresh install's corresponding folders with the ones you pulled, which contain your user and settings data for SPT.

This worked for me, BUT came with the caveat that when installing mods directly into the SPT directory, mods would no longer be pulled directly into the bepinex and user folders. I'm not sure why this happens and I'm sure it's probably an easy fix that I'm ignorant of. If you dont use mods, it won't be a problem for you. If you do, keep this in mind. ALSO, there may be a more granular procedure for saving only your profile data which I will look into now and provide links if I find anything.

I hope this made sense :)

  • Disregard my explained way of saving profile data. There was indeed a more granular and more correct way of doing it. Check second link.

    This short explantion:

    And this post:

May be of help. Report back and let me know if a fresh install and cleaning temp files works for you guys. It saved me a lot of grief. Luckily I just started playing SPT in the last few days so I was able to keep wiping my profiles and starting fresh. But organizing stash, kitting PMC, and loading into raid like 4 times only for the CMS issue to keep happening was BRUTAL xD

  • Heyoo Thanks for your help, i got it work as you say.

My Steps to "repair" and keep the profile/mods:

Backuped the mods and Profiles folder into a safe place.

Deleted SPT install folder and reinstall SPT.

maked sure that i hit the "meta cache delete" option before installing SPT in the installer

after install I started server and launcher. A was asked in the launcher about to overtake the settings from live EFT - i choose "no"

in settings in the launcher i maked sure that i hit the "gamesettings reset" and "delete temp files" button

then I have startet a new game with new profile and give me a CMS - startet a game and try to fix my blacked legs -> WORKS!

I have copied my backuped mods and profiles folder in their old place, starting the launcher, login with old profile check the same with CMS/Surv12 field surgical kit -> WORKS!

Additionally the icon from Surv12 field surgical kit repaired too.

Maybe also fixed the "stuck on load screen" problem as here:

stuck on "starting local game" but only sometimes

I check it and report afterwards

all in all perfect fix as you say jabes! Nice Work!

Thanks al lot jabes and Jinxie-Boy
