Does SPT automatically incorporate new stuff from live EFT?

    Where did you download your game from?
    I downloaded BSG's installer from Escapefromtarkov.com and the installer did it's thing. I am an EoD owner.

    Hi all.


    First of, I'm not certain I uploaded the logs correctly. If I didn't I apologize... But the logs shouldn't be needed for my question anyway.


    Second, I read through the FAQ and didn't find anything that answered my question clearly, idk, maybe I'm just dumb...

    And I'm sorry, but I don't want to go through tens of pages of forum posts to check if someone has already asked this...


    My question is simple:

    If/when live EFT updates, do new features automatically get incorporated into SPT, even if the SPT version is the same?

    I mean, for example I've seen online that the Desert Eagle is in EFT, but it is not in my SPT.

    I have not updated live EFT since I started playing SPT, which was on 01.Oct.2024, partly because I was afraid it might break my SPT, but I've since learned that is unlikely from the FAQ.

    So in short, if I update my live EFT with my BSG launcher now, will it incorporate new stuff, break my SPT or make absolutely no difference?


    Side note:

    I've disliked playing Live EFT for a very long time, that's why I haven't updated it... Too many cheaters among other things. The only "cheater" on SPT is myself, with my mods on lol

    When you install SPT, you download a script that downgrades the EFT version to the one fitting to the current SPT version.


    This version is then stored in your SPT folder, which is (should be) different from your EFT folder. So you can run the EFT launcher and upgrade the game, it will not change anything with your SPT installation.


    As for the next SPT upgrade, 3.10 which is based on the EFT version released beginning of November has been announced for tuesday (or wednesday depending on your timezone)

    No, new EFT features (like Deagle) are added with new SPT versions that are released. You can expect an update 3 - 6 months after a huge update from the live game.
