Yes, that's because it's reading the actual name of the folder. Normally it's advised that you read the version from the package.json file as it's the only technically accurate value. I can understand the need to have the version text in, but that can break some tools that read and compare via the meta-data.

Nonetheless, I can enable reading a relative path instead of a direct name to allow you to keep the version text in the folder name.

I am Dev Raccoon, and today we're taking a look at a rewritten version of my original Profile Fusion tool. This is designed to be far more compatible, far less annoying and way more versatile. It can accommodate most, if not all, profiles ranging back to at least SPT 3.0.0 and maybe even further. I haven't been able to test it that far back.

Profiler Porter does not include a requirement-based system, like my previous version did.

Instead it uses a simple popup-based system when any profile you try to port has modded items in the stash.

Requirements

• No modded items (guns, gear, clothing, etc.) in your stash or inventory.
• Your Hideout WILL BE RESET!

Usage

1. Extract Newtonsoft.json.dll and ProfilePorter.exe anywhere (I suggest your Desktop).
2. Open ProfilePorter.exe.
3. Drag and drop any profiles (can be found in <SPT>/user/profiles folder) into the big box in the middle.
4. ALTERNATIVELY, click Browse for profiles, then select any profiles you want.
5. Click Select SPT folder to install to.
6. Select the SPT folder you want to transfer your profile to.
7. Click Open, then click Open again. >> ALTERNATIVELY; Double-click the folder and click Open.
8. If the path on the bottom left looks correct, click Transfer to.

Notes

• The app does NOT fix modded items in your stash or inventory.

As a bundle, yes. It requires you to have a folder with separate SPT folders inside it. I have considered adding the feature of manually adding as many servers as you want into the list, but it's not a priority right now.

The hierarchy for the bundle feature would look like this:

Main folder
└─ SPT folder 1
└─ SPT folder 2

└─ SPT folder 3

Where you select Main folder (placeholder name for this explanation) in the Folder Select window, and the launcher figures out the rest.

A lot of stuff has changed since 1.4, and I have spent several hours bugtesting.

Hopefully there are no major bugs in this version!

New feature: Mod list for client and server-sided mods.

New feature: Custom message pop-up

Potentially implementing server-based mod profiles soon, we'll see.

Changelog:

• Added SPT Realism to the Third Party Apps section, as requested by Djmeowzle#0326
• Added a first-time setup screen for new-user information; it will re-appear on update for refreshing memory.
• Added Right-Click events for the Open server mods and Open client mods buttons; they now cycle between open mods and open modlist.
• Added a custom pop-up window for mod installation and removal confirmation.
• Added the ability to install server mods via either drag & drop or a folder browser; support for client mod installation is not yet ready.
• Added an auto-refresh for order.json on launcher open, Refresh button and mod list open & close (post-3.5 versions).
• Fixed Delete server to actually have red text, signifying it's dangerous....
• Probably something else that I forgot

Changelog:

• Moved a lot of stuff into separate functions.
• Cleaned up a lot of code to be more readable.
• Removed client mod code to keep the launcher clean until I can figure out consistency.
• Finally figured out how to properly commit to GitHub from Visual Studio... yay!
• I've probably forgotten something

For now, client modding is restricted.

This is due to my misunderstanding of how BepInEx plugin loading works.

Server mods:

• Added ability to add mods from browsing folder or drag&dropping zip archives into the window.
• Added ability to remove mods and update the order.json.
• Added ability to open both the mods folder and individual mods.

Client mods:

• Added ability to remove mods, both files and folders.
• Added ability to open the plugins folder; will select the file if the mod isn't a folder
• Coming soon: ability to add mods from browsing folder or drag&dropping zip archives into the window.
