• Loadout Mystery Bag

    • Weapon, Extra Magazines, Ammo, Helmet, Armour, Rig, Backpack, Food, Drink, and Medical Supplies
  • Unboxed items correlate by rarity, meaning if you unbox a meta/highly modded weapon you will have a high chance of generating high end gear and equipment with it. Semi-modded and lower tier weapons will feature gear of lower rarity and value as well. But if you receive a meme/cursed weapon all gear generation will be completely random just for complete meme tier randomness.
  • This feature is still a work in progress and is not perfect. More config options and balancing will appear in future updates, which allow the ability to adjust the loadout odds and items for yourself if you'd like.

BALANCING

• Weapon Mystery Box (Buff)
  • Reconfigured the odds for each rarity, Greatly reducing the chance of receiving a base weapon with zero attachments as these weapons had a really high chance before and were very boring to receive as frequently as they were previously.
• Mystery Ammo: (Buff)
  
  • Increased the minimum and maximum amount of ammunition generated for most calibers.
  • Increased chances of receiving rarer ammunition.
  • Reduced trader stock significantly.
• Mystery Keycard: (Buff)
  
  • Removed chance to receive nothing as a reward.
  • Increased chances to unbox a few rare Keycards.
  • Price will rice accordingly with these changes.
• Mystery Wallet: (Slight Buff)
  
  • Added new odds to receive 25k Roubles, slighly buffing the mystery wallet and reducing the chance of receiving nothing to 25%.
  • Altered other remaining odds slightly.
• A few other containers have had their odds and expected profit adjusted.

CHANGES

• Updated many mystery container descriptions.

• Refactored and overhauled Gambling mechanic and design of Mystery Containers in preparation for the ability to let players be able to create their own mystery containers with the capability of being shared with others. (future update...)

• Generated Mystery Ammo sold on the flea market can bug out and can return as a negative round. All Mystery ammo will now generate as not found in raid for now.

BALANCING

• Added - Mystery Container Automatic Price Balancer
  • All Mystery Containers (excluding Weapon Mystery Box and Helmet Mystery Box for now...) will now automatically price balance itself upon server startup and the generated prices depend on three factors:
    1. Flea market price off all rewards available from the Mystery Container
    2. Mystery container odds (configurable)
    3. Expected profit percentage of the mystery container (configurable)
  • Now no matter if you are using another mod that manipulates flea market prices like the Live Flea Prices mod, or have manually configured prices of items yourself, all Mystery Containers prices will compensate for such changes. The goal is to have all containers as precisely price balanced as possible and this is the first step I have taken to accomplish this.
  • This addition is NOT perfect and relies on a NEW 'Override' feature I have created in the config.jsonc that updates the prices of many blacklisted ammos and armors that should be much more expensive than they really are. This helps mystery containers generate much more realistic prices.

CONFIG

• Added price multiplier to easily alter the price of all Gambler mystery containers at once
• Added expected profit for each Mystery Container which will influence its price with the new automatic price balancer.
• Added range of minimum to maximum rounds that are generated when unboxing a Mystery Ammo Container per ammo caliber
• Added Odds and stock of each new Mystery Ammo Container
• Added "Override" prices for blacklisted ammo/armor that I though were too cheap. This helps the automated price balancer generate more realistic prices as I believe some blacklisted ammos/armors should be much more expensive than its handbook price. This is of course configurable and you can turn this override off if you have a mod that alters blacklisted ammo/armor prices and you are satisfied with those prices

Gambler Overview

The Gambler trader sells a variety of configurable mystery boxes that offer new ways to gamble for riches and better player equipment. Gambler specifically offers ways to randomly generate loadouts and gear at the click of a button. All gambling containers except for loadouts are dynamically priced by the Gambler depending on all possible rewards in each mystery box, specific odds for each tier of items in each gamble, and the configurable return of investment each mystery box has over time. Price balancing occurs on server start and can be configured in the config settings of the mod, this is explained further in the trader features section below.

Highly Recommended Mods

• UI Fixes - Provides ability to set a hot key to open mystery boxes quickly, instead of right clicking every container and pressing 'unbox'
• Kaeno Trader Scrolling - If you have too many traders this mod allows you to scroll to reach all of them
• Definitive Weapon Variants - Adds weapon variants to weapon mystery box pool.
  

Trader Features

Dynamically Priced Mystery Boxes

• All Mystery Boxes will automatically have its trader sold price dynamically calculated on server startup depending on the price of all rewards in each individual mystery box, mystery box odds for each reward tier, and the expected return of investment that is expected from each gamble. (Each component can be adjusted and changed in the config file.)

Highly Configurable Mystery Boxes:

• Price:
  • Flea market price of each rewards is used to calculate the final price of each mystery box.
    
    • Compatible with Live Flea Prices Mod and all price generation will occur after live flea prices is loaded.
  • Each mystery box can be manually priced if you don't want to use dynamic price generation in the config.
• Odds:
  • Percentage weights of each reward tier can be adjusted in the config and will play a major factor in the final price.
    • Example: increasing the "keycard_red": 0.1, value to 10.0 will increase the odds of rewarding a red keycard from 0.1% to 10.0%. Each new gamble with the keycard mystery box will have a 10% to unbox a red keycard. This make the keycard mystery box much more rewarding, and now much more expensive.
• Expected Return on Investment:
  • Each mystery container has a "_profit_percentage" in the config file which determines how profitable a mystery container should be.
  • Example:
    • If the config has the following: "armor_profit_percentage": 1.10, The Armor Mystery Box will on average return 110% of your money back. Making your money back and 10% profit.

Current Available Mystery Boxes

Mystery Wallet

• Gamble your roubles for a chance to win even more roubles or lose it all!
• The most equal gamble offered by the Gambler. 50% you make money, 50% chance you lose. How far will you go?

Mystery Key

• Includes all available keys that can be found in Tarkov, ranges from all common keys, uncommon keys, rare keys, and extremely rare keys.

Mystery Keycard

• Includes all Labs keycards. Offers ability to gamble for a regular access keycard for a little cheaper, a chance for a rarer keycard, or a chance at unboxing nothing.

Mystery Loadout

• Unboxes a whole raid kit in one unbox. Includes weapon, ammo, gear, meds, and food. Loadout is randomly generated in tiers: scav, mid-wipe, late-wipe, and meme kits. Loadout generation is randomised depending on the tier unboxed and includes a small chance that generation can upgrade or downgrade tiers of all items to increase variety and randomness.

Premium Mystery Loadout

• Unboxes a late-wipe kit, all random generation can include items from the mid-wipe tier for added variety and randomness

Weapon Mystery Box

• 1000+ weapons available to be unboxed, Includes Meta weapons, early wipe weapons, late wipe weapons, base weapons, and Meme/cursed weapons

Mystery Ammo

• Gamble your roubles for a chance at unboxing some rare ammunition, be careful as these can be a money sink, but can be worth it for a chance at some late wipe ammunition.

Mystery 2.5 Million Rouble 50/50

• Looking to double up your roubles? This mystery container offers a 50/50 chance for 5 million roubles or nothing at all. If your feeling lucky you might just end up rich or end up like a Timmy who lost it all and has to start doing loot runs on the Streets to make ends meet.

Mystery Bitcoin 50/50

• Gamble your Bitcoins for a chance at double or nothing

Mystery GP Coin 50/50

• Gamble your GP Coins for a chance at double or nothing

Mystery Medical Kit

• The Gambler offers a fresh set of medical supplies in exchange for a few barter medical items

Current Development Plans

Next Update: 0.3.0: new poker chip currency and unique mystery boxes

• Planned Custom Gambler Items
  • Gambler Poker Chips - Rare currency chips that can be bartered to the Gambler for rewards
• Quests (Planned^TM) I'm not sure to be honest. I have an idea for lore and questline mystery box unlocks, but creating actually good quests is very time consuming and there is not that many on the hub that actually do it.
  • Trader quest progression will include mystery container unlocks and the further you complete quests, more useful and interesting mystery containers will unlock.

Installation

1. Remove any old version of the Gambler trader before installing any new update located in SPT/user/mods.
2. Download the mod, open zip file then drag and drop 'user' folder into your SPT directory.
3. You don't have to worry about load order anymore as that is handled by the mod now.

Config Features: GamblerTrader\config\config.jsonc

• Ability to change mystery container prices, stock, and odds of each outcome (Current Odds are subject to change in updates)
• Profitability settings of each mystery container will directly influence each mystery container price
• All Mystery containers offer the ability to be disabled if you don't want the Gambler to offer certain mystery containers

Known Compatibility Issues:

• Raid Overhaul - Make sure The Gambler loads before Raid Overhaul in the Load Order. The console will spam handbook price issues if not properly loaded before Raid Overhaul
