Deadzone Updated 1.1.0

An updated version of lualeets Deadzone mod for 3.7.1

Adds insurgency style deadzone/free aim, allowing your weapon to drift from the center of the screen.

This is my first crack at anything client mod related so if there are any problems let me know in the comments. Should work for 3.7.0 but I haven't tested it so animesmugidk


To install open the zip and drag and drop the BepInEx folder into your SPT directory and it should follow the pathing animefingerdancing

  • Hi. Thanks for SPT. I want to say that in Deadzones mod is some issue. When you aim by collimator the gun straights somewhere aside from the current direction.


    And tell me please how to change gun position in Realistic mod like on videos on youtube

  • Awesome mod thanks for the update, I'm hoping the mod author comes through with some updates for ADS misalignment and having deadzone for ads would be kinda neat if possible. If the author isnt interested any more hopefully someone takes the reigns becuae this mod has huge potential.

  • Looks like it works, but it broke fontaines fov fix and variable optics for me. They are no longer variable zoom.

    • Ill need a lil more info there. You're on 3.7.1? Both mods are the newest version? Any errors? What was changed in the settings?

      I run both and haven't had any issues and this mod shouldn't be touching anything while ads'd

    • Nevermind, I fixed it by just uninstalling each related mod and reinstalling them. That did the trick. I probably messed something up while installing all of them at once. Thank you for the fast reply! Loving this mod!

  • Compatible with Amand's Controller? In particular its aim assist.

    • No clue, I haven't used Amands controller so I haven't tested that but I don't see why not? If you try it let me know :thumbup:

  • This mod is really cool! However in testing, it looks like it makes lasers really inaccurate.. which is a huge bummer given that this mod makes me WANT to aim with deadzone.

    • I remember that being a problem originally and there was some sort of workaround with fovfix/combat stance overhaul but I'll look into it :thumbup:

    • Hey, I can't guarantee it'll work with this version of Deadzone (as I'm still using the original on 3.6.1), but you should be able to correct the laser misalignment by enabling the experimental fix for FOV scaling in Fontaine's FOV Fix & Variable Optics mod. It'll distort your view of the weapon, but that can then be fixed with Fontaine's reupload of SamSwat's INCREASED FOV mod.

      I use both with Deadzone and point shooting with the laser is bang on, and feels phenomenal!

    • Enabling Fov scale fix (I'm at default settings but you might need to tweak it depending on your fov since I'm at 83) seemed to have realigned the laser for me! Hope that works for you too kanawow


      Also, if you're using the combat stance mod as well, setting your weapon position x and y axis to -0.05 each looks pretty cool
