What is this mod about?

This mod is a fork of Kobracon Camera Unsnap. designed to provide a more advanced camera controls scheme and cinematic tools for SPTarkov, catering primarily to editors and video creators.


At its core, the mod enables free-flight camera movement, allowing users to freely navigate the world. You can also adjust the camera's speed, FOV, smoothing values and sensitivity to suit your needs.

  • idk but bind "Create keyframe" doesn't work. I have to manually open F10 and click to create keyframe. help plz

  • Brother I made an account just to say thank you so much for this mod and the work/support you put into it. Currently the link to utility is broken, and the cursor does not appear when using f10 to add keyframes and lights. I'm on 3.9.5 spt and 1.14 tarkov. Thanks again, and good stuff man

  • Hey there! Love all the functions of the mod but for the life of me could not figure out what I was doing without fumbling around mid-raid while also having to make sure no AI or anything was near me. Is there any recommendations or write-ups you have as far as learning to mod? Thanks! I explored the F12 menu, but I am really not sure what most of it does.

    I was also in-raid trying to crouch and it would bring me to some sort of freecam. Just goes to show how little I could figure out about the mod.

  • Every time I use this to teleport the player to the camera position it kills me even with god mode on. Any idea of a fix?

    • Is there any errors in the console? I'll test it soon.

    • Nope, no errors. Just fall damage even though I place the freecam near the ground. I can get footage of it happening if that helps. It could be user error, does the player character spawn pretty far above the cam? Thank you for your time!

  • not a single one of the controls in the f12 menu work for me the only thing that does work is creating a light in the f10 menu am i doing something wrong

    • Not too sure. Will have to look into it.

  • Probably a dumb question but how can i activate the cam ? I would like to make a clip where the cam is fixed to my supressor but the only thing i can do is use unity's free cam and set some points. Please help me 😭

    • You can use the "Attach to object" bind when looking at the gun. the text in the middle of the screen will show you what you are attached to.

  • hi there! i recently downloaded your mod originally for lighting but now im trying to figure out the more complex stuff this mod has to bring. however, no matter how much i toy around with it i cannot figure out how it works. will there ever be a guide in the form of a video, document, etc? i cant find any guides on youtube, nor does anyone know how it works in the spt discord.

  • I installed your mod. And this crap appeared. Which shows the name of any object when you hover over it. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

    • It will only show when UI is enabled and when you're in spectator. I can add a toggle for it independently if you would like.

  • Please add project fika freecam world "culling". Your Freecam mod is great but without that culling, bots will shoot the camera man.

  • So I been using Free Camera mod to just spectate sometimes, but unfortunately the owner is not working on the mod as much anymore. With this mod can I still do that? Is it possible to directly follow an AI around, like lock onto them or do I need to manually follow? If so, is this possible to add?

    • You can use the attach to object to follow AI.

      The error you see is due to a bug I need to fix, but does not impact functionality.

  • I was thinking about if I have accidentially switched on some kind of god mode. Didn´t think it was in a camera mod.... ^^ You owe me two days of my life... :D :D Thanks for the answer, now I can use your mod again...

      It's there because you don't want to die when you're doing camera stuff and the raid ends before you want it to.

  • Hi, love the functions of your mod! But... There´s s.th. I can´t explain for myself. I`m not a modder, I have deepest respect for your knowledge and work, so please forgive my that question: Could it be possible, that your mod causes a conflict with another mod, resulting in making me invincible? I can feel the impacts, see the blood, but all my body parts keep green and keep their full health-poimts. After two days of new installations of the whole game and numerous wiped profiles, I found out, it´s the camera mod. Please don´t get me wrong, this ain´t no offense, I´m just trying to understand... Do you or someone out there have an explanation?

    Again, please don´t feel offended, I bow my head for all of you modders!!! You make it possible to tweak this game to everyone´s personal tasts, that´s so cool! Thank you all for your work!!

      There's a setting in the menu that's called "God Mode". You'll need to turn it off.

  • Hey there. This is an amazing mod. I only started using it today and I am amazed of the features it has. I will be making some really cool cinematic videos with it. But my only issue I have is that after using the mod, whenever I leave a game it gets stuck in the menu screen. I never get to the screens that tell me the raid results and such. It only started happening after using this mod. I will have to test to see if it only happens after using it or if it's constant even when not using it.

    • They go into the main Spt folder under BepInEx/plugins
      just dump the .dll file in that

  • the attachment pan on the pmc is not working it just focuses on something floating in the sky with the newest version

    • Hey! If you use your tilt/rotation keys, it should move the camera up / down when lookAt is enabled. I haven't found a better way to do this yet D:

      Ideally I don't add more keybinds to remember.

  • love this mod but for whatever reason when i go into raid and use the cam to record something and then play the game and extract or die i get stuck on the mid screen between extract/death and after raid report...

  • Hi, I'm having an issue where I can't reassign any buttons to do specific things. Aswell as I can't use anything besides the camera unsnap, buttons just won't work or "breake" the free cam.

    Any suggestions what I could do/ what I am doing wrong?

    • Hi! I'm not too sure. I haven't seen this sort of thing before.

      Have you changed settings from the default? If so, what did you change?
      Do you have other mods installed that may be conflicting?

    • Hey! after fiddling around for a bit I found that if you go into BepInEx/config and delete the "com.zaddish.kappacam.cfg" and restart the game it fixes the problem.

      Probably an other version of Cam Unsnap broke something.

  • so i've been messing around with mod for past few days, its pretty wild what you can set up and the potential for filming is endless with this. Unfortunately i'm not very knowledgeable with these things, and my biggest thing with this mod was to try to set up a third person camera when moving around the map. Is this even possible? To lock the camera behind the players head and stay there with the player being controlled? I see you can attach to different objects or set paths for the camera, but theres nothing to lock onto behind character. Just thought id see if someone knows if this is even possible :)

    • Hey! Yep it's possible.

      Make sure you update to the latest version as this has changed now.

      Attach the camera to the player by looking at the player (make sure that the text in the middle of the screen says "Player(C" (or something similar), and press F6. Press F12 and scroll down to the utility section. Change the attachtype to "parented". Move around the camera to a position you are happy with, then press Equals to lock the camera's mouse. Then you can move the player around, and the camera will be parented to the player.

  • this might sound stupid but is there a way to snap the camera to the players head or something and increase the fov so itd be like increasing the games base fov? all of the field of view mods right now are outdated and cant find any alternatives

    • Whilst you can do this, I don't recommend it as it can mess with a lot of stuff and isn't practical.

      Unsnap from the player, press F10, and change the attach type to "lock" (for newer versions, this attach type will be in the F12 menu, and called "parented"), then move the camera into the players head. When the text in the middle of the screen has "Neck" in it, then press F6. Angle the camera to where you want, set the FOV and press the "Switch camera control to mouse" button (default is equals) to lock the mouse movement of the camera and not the player.

      This will cause a lot of head bouncing.

  • might just be me being an idiot but i cant look around in the free cam its still just controlling my character, can move around with arrow keys but no looking?

    • Hey!

      There is a keybind to switch the control of the camera to the mouse from the player.
      I will make it so when you unsnap from the player, it will automatically allow you to move the mouse instead of manually pressing the keybind.

      The default keybind is Equals, so press your unsnap button, then equals.

    • Wow, so this is a really cool mod - I've been talking about needing something like this.

      Love all the options, seems very capable and just the thing I needed, but I did manage to break the camera machine (can't remember exactly the error stated) running a path with three keyframes - something about values outside of an index, a negative value somewhere, I'll have to check again.

      Definitely going to keep working with this mod because it will be so very very useful for content creation.

      It's hard to debug these sorts of things, but I will look into it. If you can give me a step by step of how the error occurred, I can probably get it fixed quicker :)

  • Hey, great mod! But I did encounter two issues - maybe because i'm noob at this. First, once I start to play recorded path how do I exactly get out of that playing loop, cause I can't stop it. Second, F10 menu - when pressed it doesn't show mouse cursor so it's really hard to navigate.

  • fov is not work for me

    • Are there any errors in the console? Do you have any other mods that change the FOV?

    • i don't have any error and i don't have any some mods for fov.

    • Are you changing the FOV slider in the menu, and the FOV is not changing? or are you using the Zoom Key?

      The FOV will only change for the when the camera is unsnapped, and not when it's on the player.
