Ram Cleaner Fix 1.1.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

A workaround for RAM Cleaner running only in the settings menu

This is just a recompiled port for SPT-AKI 3.9.0. I've seen many ask for this to be updated.

How to install

  • Drag-and-drop CactusPie.RamCleanerInterval.dll into "BepInEx / Plugins" folder
  • Open CactusPie.RamCleanerInterval 1.0.0 in-game via the F12 hotkey

  • Hello. My game constantly crashes due to virtual memory overflow. The option to automatically clear RAM in the game settings does not help. Your mod does not solve the problem either. Neither Process Lasso nor ISLC fix the situation. My system has 32 GB of RAM. With the system swap file disabled, the game does not even start. With the 32 GB swap file enabled, the game works exactly until it is full. At the same time, the game takes up no more than 12-15 GB of RAM, that is, more than half of the RAM is always free. So I do not understand why the RAM is free and not used by the game and at the same time the game completely devours the entire system swap file until the game crashes. Why does this happen, can you please explain to me?

      All this mod does is trigger the function to clear RAM. It's just an interval setting. Your problem sounds like there's more to it than just this mod not working. I would advise reinstalling and figuring out what's going on with your PC

    • I know that RAM can cause all sorts of issues. Unfortunately I am not particularly well versed in the depth of issues it causes. I would help you if I could, but I've never really had RAM related problems sadly.


      Try a RAM related gaming subreddit, it might help you further. SPT Discord also might help, but I cannot guarantee it

  • i had the same issue as the guy below but since adding more mods, My memory got incredibly bloated before the ram cleaner interval initialised during matching, to the point of crashing. BUT this may just be a hardware thing as im sure this works for some, my computer is below mid tier anyway.

    • What specs in specific? I run a 5800x3d x 4060 Ti (temp) x 32GB ddr4, and I can't recall this mod ever giving me any stutters. The only stutters I get are usual stutters every now and then. Memory is fine for me, since this mod does what it's meant to do.


      Generally, yes, the lower tier your PC is, the more the ram cleaner might affect you. It, too, has to use resources in order to clear them. But it shouldn't be as bad as DarthCat's, since 1-2 seconds is a pretty big deal. That might be a combination of mods working in tandem.

  • for some incredibly weird reason this makes my game freeze for 1-2 seconds anytime anyone shoots, i really dont know why

    • Don't think it has anything to do with this mod, unless you can provide logs that specifically mention this mod. All this mod does is run the original BSG-designed ram cleaner when it's meant to. Your issue sounds like it's related to bot combat. Check your client and server logs and see what pops up.

    • the thing is after removing this, everything was fine, i do have 40 something mods installed so maybe something was conflicting with this? im not sure
      i could install this again and send you the logs

  • Should I have Tarkov's built in Automatic RAM Cleaner disabled while running this mod? Or leave it enabled?

    • This only makes sure that the built-in one is triggered when it should be. Leave it enabled

  • Question this is the only mod that has made windows say it may be harmful as well as scanning the file (outside of windows) says that its harmful. Can you explain why, or someone tell me what's up with this mod?

    • You're the first one who's had this issue, based on what I've seen. I've been using it for months now. It might be your antivirus. They're known for providing false positives.

    • If you are suspicious of a file holding a virus and you want to be sure, upload it at Jotti,
      it has 14 scanners that will scan it - if more than 9/10 says positive it's an actual virus.

  • this mod cleans ram like ram cleaner something similar, but I dont understand why when the ram is beeing cleaned for 20-30 sec my fps drops to 5-10 and it freezes until the ram is cleaned completly

    • That sounds like a garbage collection problem to me. The only thing this app does is enable BSG's own memory cleaner. Your problem is most likely to do with how Unity's garbage collection and BSG's proprietary system works.


      I have zero issues with ram cleaning, it's always pretty smooth.

      so problem is with garbage collection? i dont understand / like ram cleaner or this mod will clean my ram but in that time i have like 5 fps for few minutes until the ram is cleaned

    • @niccon That doesnt sound like its an issue with the mod. The garbage collection (afaik) shouldnt take more than half a second or similar

    • If you want a map maybe try Techhappy's web minimap it's very good too and updated.

    • I'm using it right now , but i like the feature of bots location in cactus mod specially for cultist spawn location in raid.
