    Common Issues

    • If zones are not working for you, you may need to re-install VCQL.
      • If they are still not working, make sure you aren't using outdated mods such as the original SamSWAT.HeliCrash (the Arys Reloaded version also does not work)
    • If quests are not working for you, you did not install VCQL. Install it.
    • Stash Row rewards do not show until you restart the client (Thanks BSG)
    • If you install this while on 3.8.0, You will not be able to do the stash expansion quests.

  • Hello, im currently having a problem with The Route quest. Somehow i cant place markers on the Ambulance. I get to them, but the PLANT option does not pop up. Already updated my SPT to the latest version and its not working.

    • This has 99% of the time been because of an issue that is posted in the pinned comment.

  • Couldnt load into lighthouse with version 0.5.3 was crashing after loading loot and the Countdown. Reverting back to 0.5.0 lets me load in. I am on 3.8.1. I did a shoreline raid right before and was fine so not sure if its just a lighthouse issue

    • I am not having that issue on 0.5.3 - I loaded into Lighthouse just fine (but I am also on 3.8.3)


      I did make a small fix to a couple properties of quests that required headshots if you want to try again - just redownload 0.5.3 as the fix is in there. I didn't make a new update for this hotfix.

    • Just installed 0.5.3 and was able to load into lighthouse. Looks like whatever you did fixed it :)

  • Hey bud, just done 3 of your new tasks "grab the cash, get the stash" and it's taken away my stash space instead of adding lol

    • It's definitely not, you have to restart the client for the new lines to appear.


      There is no way for the SPT vanilla logic to remove the bonus stashrows, if it's removing lines it wouldn't have to do with this mod.


      You likely have a mod removing the bonus stashrows in your profile and making it smaller by the amount removed.

    • weird because your mod is the only one I added this morning and now my stash is significantly smaller since turning in those 3 quests. i'm on 3.8.0 still, maybe that's the issue

    • Scorpion would not cause that.

      3.8.0 doesn't have logic for adding stash rows to your profile from completing quests that grant it. Nothing would change on your profile if you completed those, which is why it's indicated in multiple places that the stash row line should only be done on 3.8.1 or higher.

      • If you install this while on 3.8.0, You will not be able to do the stash expansion quests.

    I want to install the latest version of Scorpio, please tell me, I understand that I need to start the quests from the very beginning, how can I reset the progress?

    • If you are still on 3.8.0 and are just updating Scorpion then your progress is retained as long as you keep the same profile.

    • Yes, unfortunately, I don’t want to switch yet, since I only recently set everything up perfectly with a huge number of mods, and 4 of them have not yet switched to 3.8.1... And I’ve already completed about 6 scorpion quests, I’m glad that you can just update and continue playing! All the best to you, thank you! :)

    • Nothing new added for latest version release, just enabled people to install on any 3.8.x version of SPT

  • The quest Going Rampage doesn't work for me, I kill Scavs but still 0/15, I'm currently playing SPT 3.8.0 Scorpion v.0.3.2
    I already installed VCQL
    Also killed Tagilla and restarted the quest but nothing

    • I cannot support old versions - is there a reason you are still on 3.8.0?
      I was able to complete this quest on 0.4.2 successfully earlier today

  • Did I suffer a bug or someting? I've finished the quest prove yourself, it unlocked dish served cold and crestfallen, as well as the route and you think you know weapons?. It also instantly failed Dish served cold and crestfallen at the same time, without me even reacting to it. Normal or bug?

    • I just tested and that is a bug. I'm tracking it down now and will be fixed in the next release. I've looked through the code and I have no idea why it's letting those quests be available after finishing "Prove Yourself" as they should unlock much later in the questline.

    • This is fixed in the latest release. Your quests should automatically fix themselves after you update and launch the game again. (After you update Scorpion to 0.5.0)

    Quick question though, if I update from 0.4.1 to 0.4.2 will it reset my quest progress? Id hate to restart but man I neeeeeed access to the juicy new quests :)

    • If there was a scenario that may reset quests I would place a banner on the version release. I am doing my absolute best to make sure that this does not happen.


      I will likely only push a change that would require progress restart on a major SPT version release as they typically require a new profile anyway (like 3.9.0 whenever that comes)


      That said - you can update without issue.

      Any prior quests you have completed that have 'new' assortment unlocks you will automatically unlock by having done the quests.

    There is a problem with the quest "The Route". I can't mark the second of the three ambulances. I touched it all over, I can't find the place where the button appears. Reinstalling VCQL didn't help either. Is there any solution to this problem?

    • You may need to reinstall Scorpion after you reinstall VCQL. The zones have been working on the latest release if the mods are installed properly. Make sure to overwrite your files.


      You may have to walk away from the ambulance and then walk back.

  • I've been really trying to find how I can reduce the the amount which you can sell items to him for.

    I'm running Realism and for example:
    I can sell a flashdrive to Therapist for approx. 8k while Scorpion will buy it from me for approx. 20-22k. There only seems to be an option in the config file to alter the price for his items, no?

    If you could please provide me with a way to change this I would be even more grateful than I already am for this awesome mod. Thanks!

    • The price he buys items for should be fixed in the latest versions.


      You can edit the base.json file in this mod and change the buy_price_coef to a higher number to lower the price he buys things for.


      Old versions are unsupported as they are missing many fixes and features.

    • Everything except Penguins Drugs is working on 3.8.1 as far as I know. You can set that buy_price_coef to like 50 or 55 in each of the loyalty levels in the base.json to have more balanced sell prices though. (Or update)


      If you update make sure you update realism. It just released 3.8.1 today

    • Got it working, thank you. Changing the buy_price_coef was sufficient, and I'll probably hold on a bit with the 3.8.1.

  • I've been searching for days now and can't find the second ambulance. I've marked the first one by Emercom and the third by Gagarin in the middle of the street but I can't find the other ambulance anywhere. Some help locating it would be appreciated.

  • I failed Going Rampage by Killing Tagilla by accident, but I cannot restart the quest and thus I cannot progress, anything I can do to fix this?

    • This is fixed in recent releases.

      If you are on 3.8.0 then update to Version 0.3.2

      If you are on 3.8.1 then update to the latest version.

  • Quick question, whenever I start the server, it says that the quest loader is missing package.json file.


    Any Idea?

    • Obv I checked, and the package.json is in the server folder. So it should be where it belongs I guess

    • You need to close your game and server before installing this mod and VCQL. Both mods install by drag and dropping the Bepinex/user folder into your SPT as shown on the gif on the description.


      You would only get this error if you have installed the mod incorrectly and/or did not use 7-zip

    • I reached out to the discord support team, I downloaded the source code lmao, Im just dumb I guess.

  • Do his tasks not show up if you install it at higher levels? I have VCQL installed and I'm not getting any tasks at level 18.

    • Are you on the discord? I'd love it if you could get me logs on my thread in #mods-development.


      You should get the initial quests regardless of what level you are provided you have VCQL installed properly and Scorpion is installed properly.

    • I'm on there, I'll @ you to get that bit sorted out. Should note that I am running 3.8.0 due to not all mods being updated just yet.

  • I recently completed the Takedown mission but do not see M80 for purchase in his inventory. Is there a way to get that to pop up? The Salewa unlocked as expected from the previous mission.

    • Sometimes trader unlocks require the assort to refresh before they show (sometimes you can just buy 1 item and it'll refresh)

    • I appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately, I went to work, re-logged and M80 was still unavailable. I have tried buying something as well and it did not refresh. Do I just need to let it run in the background for a bit to refresh?

    • Did you update to the latest version by chance? M80 unlock was moved to another quest.


      The assort should unlock properly regardless if it worked previously, the logic is no different between salewa unlock and m80

    • I haven't updated it yet, planned on moving over once the rest of the mods I have installed catch up as well.

      Yeah I found it odd that it worked for the salewa and such.

  • You may want to increase morphine cost you can sell it for 17k and buy it for 13k from him

    • I've had it reported a couple times, it's based on vanilla flea but I'm doing some tuning to his prices when you sell to him for the next release. He buys everything at a bit too good of a price.

    If you mistakenly update to this while on 3.8.0, you can manually adjust the package.json file to version 3.8.0 and it will launch. You will not be able to do the stash expansion quests.

Been trying my own hand at modding the traders and learning to mess around with quest creation and altering stock and whatnot and I have found your code to be easier to navigate than the vanilla traders(probably bc there's less of it but hey hehe)!   • Got problem with one of the Quests.

    "The Route" task

    I cant seem to Use the Markers on any of the ambulances
    is there any special place i have to place them?

    I checked the Zones file and there is Abulance one and 2 on the "Sandbox" map.

    • You have to "find" the ambulances first. I was recently informed there is a 3rd one near the middle (that isn't included in this quest)

      There is one at emercon exit and the tower exit on the other side of the map. You have to basically go up to and hug the ambulance and it should let you place the beacon on it.

    • I'm also having trouble with the quest, have confirmed that I'm trying to place the marker on the right ambulances, but there is no popup or anything, is there any special key you're supposed to press?

    • I am also having the same issue, I've gone around, on top of and inside both ambulances and I haven't had the place prompt appear for me. ;(

    • Nero hopped into Discord and did a bunch of troubleshooting. If your zones do not work then your VCQL is not working. Please go redownload VCQL and overwrite your files with it.

    • Yeah if the zones dont work Make a backup of VCQL and delete the original

      Then put a new versionof VCQL in and drag the quest and zone files of the traders back in

  • Is he supposed to have nothing sold on the crown? It kind of defeats the purpose of getting to it.
    And LL3 is also underwhelming, red flare is cool, but feels like "That's it?"
    Also, quest "Monitoring II" is tagged as "Any Location". Shouldn't it be Customs?

    • Assort is nowhere near final. It's only up to LL2 at the moment as that's what the quests are up to. It's being built as I add additional quests.

  • Will updating overwrite the progress I made on him already? If not is there a special way to update besides just copy and pasting?

    • It will not affect your progress, just overwrite the files you have with the ones in this release and you'll have the new quests available to you when you reach them.

  • i'm also having an issue with hotline follow up, when i hand it in it throws an error and corrupts my profile so the game wont load. only way to fix it is use profile editor and set it for available for finish. gam works fine again after that as long as i dont hand the quest in

    • I did not experience this in my testing - if it happens can you please provide log files so I can review them?

  • Hey, not sure what the issue might be but on "Hotline Follow-up" quest that asks you to check some rooms in dormitory of Customs....well they don't get checked when i enter them so, unless I need to interact with something and it's not specified, i think there's an issue.

    • You don't need to interact with anything, just enter them. Are you sure that you are entering the correct rooms?


      I will be able to check this tonight, but it was working in my tests. Do you have any other custom quest traders that use zones for VCQL, like Lotus?

    • I had the same problem. I fixed it by making sure VCQL was earlier in my load order than Scorpion. I hope that helps.

    • Tried both new update on fresh profile and using Load Order mod to put Scorpion after VCQL but Hotline Follow-up is still broken for me and doesn't recognize the rooms when i enter them (It's the right rooms) I guess i could just edit the quest to be completed. Most likely at this point it's an issue with all the mods i have on i guess?

    • Yes I believe so. You may also want to validate that you have this file:
      \user\mods\Virtual's Custom Quest Loader\database\zones\Scorpion_zones.json


      If you do not then you can just download the mod again and overwrite any files.

      The author of Lotus (which also uses VCQL) has also had some people report their zones not working randomly and we have no idea why this happens for some folks.

    • Hey, thanks for reaching back. Checked and Scorpion_zones.json is there. Only thing i can think about at this point as i said before is that there's a conflict of some sorts. I'll do some testing and send a message again if things work out. Have a good day ^^
