Removes the option to select a timezone before a raid for all us Night Time lovers.

A super simple mod that removes the option to select a timezone before a raid since it's what the founding fathers intended.

Why?

Progression. Having the option to change time zones eliminates a lot of the need for night time gameplay. This mod aims to make getting your hands on gear like night vision, flashlights, and IR-lasers during the early game just so much more important to survive and thrive in Tarkov. Not being able to skip to day time also introduces a lot more variety between raids and forces you to not run the same kit every raid.

Just way better looking nvgs that also let you see your surroundings through your peripheral. This mod also emulates tube generations which means you wont get nearly the same performance through a cheap Russian Gen 2 tube as a more expensive one. (Again, deeper progression)

  • I sincerely implore you to create a mod that allows you to disable game settings on the preparation page。Because one of my buddies will disable AI before the game, evade battles to obtain supplies, and activate a large number of AI in Savage mode to search for loot。This behavior has already been imitated by other friends, which is not right. I hope we can play a green game

  • Can i ask for a mechanic to set it to my local time and then have it based on that? Tho also allow to adjust it due the 1 hour time difference from summer/winter. Just really have wanted the immersion to play at my real time. since that was removed from SPT a few version ago where they stopped basing it from local time.

    By hopes that this is possible tho as far I've heard mod should be able to.

  • Love the idea. for making it even more realistic it would be nice to have the option to sync the time with your real time aka local. I say the option cuz many people will not have time to play in particular hours but for those early morning raids or late night is awesome! nice job!

    • It does yes. I only feel it adds some depth to planning a raid but yeah not for everyone. Idk if it is possible but it could help to speed up the day night cycle

  • I like the idea of the mod. But it would be awesome to have an option to see what time is it right now. In this case you could at least prepare your gear for night or day time.

    • Little idealist asshole in me says one gots to remove 'select time phase'. It may be theoretically done by replacing the relevant strings with empty texts, since it's a locale thing obviously.

    • Certainly imagine so! I am extending this mod a bit and have managed to remove the "CURRENT WEATHER CONDITIONS" text to make room for other stuff

    • It essentially just always uses the "left timezone", and just removes the option to choose the "right-most timezone" that skips forward 12 in game hours
