IncreaseFOVLimit and Change ADS FOV 2.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Updated version of Fontaine's reupload of SamSwat's FOV mod for SPT 3.10

This mod was originally for my personal use. However, when I posted it here, I was unaware of the etiquette to using someone else's code and failed to properly ask and accredit Fontaine. Since then, I've had a chat with them and so I'd like to say a huge Thank You to them both for their patience with me as well as offer a public apology.
I had also included their headbob patch in this mod and it has now been removed as Fontaine's Headbob Reducer has now been updated.

Just download FovFix.dll from the github repository and add it to your plugins folder like usual.

Side note: For those asking me to add more features that were present in Fontaine's FOV Fix & Variable Optics, my version of the ADS FOV is a lot clumsier so I suggest downloading their mod whenever it gets updated.

  • The ingame fov slider maxes out to 75 even after I install this and no F12 menu shows up to configure anything
    Every other mod I have works, so something has to be broken here

  • Heads up, because you decided to name the .dll file 'FovFix.dll', it cannot be installed alongside Fontaine's actual FovFix mod without the file being renamed.

    Also, I'm unsure why you made an entirely new repo for your release when you can just add a release to the source repo:

    • Also it straight up conflicts with FOV Fix and breaks the F12 menu when installed alongside it.

    • Apparently naming it the same as FOVFix is a coincidence, either way there is no need to use it alongside my mod since it's basically a simplified version of the actual FOV Fix mod.

    • The reason I wanted to use it is because it seemed to include the features from SamSwat's FOV mod, but I don't even know if it does because I immediately uninstalled it lol.

  • can you add a hotkey to zoom the FOV via press/hold an assigned hotkey?

    • My way of doing the ADS FOV changes is a lot more clumsy/less efficient than Fontaine's version, so I suggest you download it whenever it gets updated instead as I wouldn't have any idea about how to go about doing that

  • It seems that the fov resets to default if you free look while scoped in. Not really a huge deal since that's such a situational thing, but would be nice to not happen

    • Normal EFT behavior actually :D Check the video in Fontaine's FOV Fix Mod page

    • It doesn't behave like that with FOV Fix, you need to override some BSG logic

  • I seem to get a jarring 'snap' or 'stutter' when releasing ADS after changing the FOV settings

    • Check ur settings at dynamic scope resolutions. Seems like they r different to urs tarkov settings. For example I use dlss and to avoid this stutters i need set same dlss settings at mod's settings

    • It's the head bob mod they included without linking to the original or crediting. Anyways doesn't matter, FOV Fix will get a streamlined version for 3.10 soon

  • So I dropped the dll in the plugins folder and I've got not bepinex menu or any other signs of it working. Maybe a mod conflict but I'm not sure where to start?

  • Unable to download the file from github. I can't for the life of me find anywhere to download and I need this mod. If anyone can assist me that would be great :thumbup:
