Valens Has The Power 1.3.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Allows you to configure a percentage chance for power to spawn automatically On for maps that allow it, at the start of Raid.

I never liked the fact that after you threw power on for a location that it suddenly is gone the next raid.


So this mod will allow you to configure a Percentage Chance for power to be set to On at the start of a Raid for all Maps that currently allow for this. Currently this is Customs, Interchange, and Reserve.

All extracts, and objects linked to power are working and operable (like OBJ21 Container, and ZB-013 extract on Interchange, and Customs respectively).


Configuration Manager Implemented!

In order to use the configuration manager you have two means of access.


In game you can press F12 to access the GUI provided by the BepInEx Configuration Manager and set your values there


OR


You can navigate to SPT-Aki/BepInEx/config/com.Valens.HasThePower.cfg and edit the values manually in here.


## Percentage Chance that Power will be On at Raid Start for the Customs Map. Default is 100.

# Setting type: Int32

# Default value: 100

Customs = 100


You would want to edit the part in Blue for each Green Map. Where Blue is the Percent Chance you desire for every map.


Will Raiders Spawn?!

Raiders will still spawn given that the switches their spawns are tied to (D2 on Reserve for instance) as the script that is run when you for example manually throw Power on is ran at Raid Start instead.


So yes raiders will still appear where appropriate if the %chance is hit. Currently I believe the %chance for D2 when power is thrown on is 50% so you have a 50% chance that Raiders will spawn.


To Install: all you need do is extract the BepInEx folder to your SPT installation.

To UnInstall: all you need to do is delete the ValensHasThePower.dll from your SPT-Aki/BepInEx/plugins folder, and remove ValensHasThePower-x.x.x (Where x.x.x is the version number you have) from your SPT-Aki/user/mods folder.

    • There is a mod called "Open Sesame" which allows you to open doors without the need for keys. However, it also can turn on the power, all you need to do is walk up to a door that requires power (Kiba on interchange for instance) and it will turn it on. I'm sure that can be useful as a replacement for the moment.

  • Just as a heads up, I think this mod does not sync well with Fika MP. The power could be on for host, but not for anyone else.

  • this such a nice mod, emulating people that rush to D2 power and fight raiders in reserve is so good, can actually do loot runs through dome if i spawn there and go out D2 without having to run to power every time, as a reserve main on live, this really really helps it feel like online reserve

    Also, the name is so good hahah, so many times with mates online, randomely yelling out 'oi, has the power...'
    and then someone else responds before you can finish the sentence, smart as heck name hahah <3

  • I was looking for this exact mod. Hopefully it gets sorted soon, its quite annoying always having to go across the map to hit power. How did you find the ID of the switches? If you're busy I could check to make sure they didn't change.

  • Howdy, is there a way to make this wor on 3.8.0? I've tried every method I can think of, fresh install, not changing AKI version in config, changing it, changing the % of the power. But nothing makes it work. Thanks in advance.

    • Have to get around to updating it, seems BSG finally switched something out to break the mod after eons of it working without fail.

  • Still good in 3.7.6

    • But pooped in 3.8 :( It throws errors and breaks other plugins when loading into Customs.

  • sadly this mod conflicts with other I run.

    Strangely it hinders pmc from spawning (using bsp). One raid was 1 pmc that died to scavs, other raid heard footsteps once (interchange).

    As soon as I removed the mod everything was fine again.

    • Give me a bit to update it then, figured it should work but if it doesn't I'll have to delve into it deeper but atm V-AIO and V-Progression are priority.

    • Finally got around to testing it after releasing new versions of V-AIO and V-Progression. I have confirmed it is working on 3.2.2 and 3.2.1

  • Download only has the dll file but doesn't have to cfg file or the files that go in the mod folder.
    I have tried the source zip download but got a compatibility error while starting the server.

    • Config is done in game with F12 by default.


      bepinex/plugins/valenshasthepower.dll is the only file really needed.

    • Nothing is showing up for in f12. When i selected debug mode it says " plugins with no options available: AKI.xxxx, AKI.xxxx, config manager, valenshasthepower".

    • I was using your mod on 2.3.1 and so on and everything worked but on 3.1 nothing shows up when i press f12.

  • Question about capabilities. Given that you were able to flip the power switch based on a percentage, would it then possible to extend or create a new mod that will open a percentage of locked doors on a map and/or open a percentage of closed doors on a map? This will allow SPT players to feel a little bit like playing Live. Sometimes it takes forever to find a key (pre-flea) and you get quest locked. In Live, I would just run several raids and see if it was opened and if so then finish the quest.


    Extending that a bit further, would it be possible to have the loot generation nerfed by an adjustable range to simulate Live players beating you to the loot?

    • I'm sure it's all theoretically possible but not something I'm wanting to take up personally. If you take a look at the source code, you'll see why.


      It breaks down basically to running a bunch of for loops and then pairing it with random variable chance for every single door in the game per map. That'd be a shit load of code but also a shit load of gathering every single object (as that's what everything in game is, is an object).


      As for loot there's a few mods out there that you can already adjust loot distribution.
