POOP Variety 1.4.1c

Do you enjoy POOP? I sure do, I've dug my fingers in it, pulled it apart, mashed it together again, finally separating POOP into 5 gritty and red-blooded presets. This mod includes 5 difficulty presets to make your game much easier or more difficult.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

**Requires POOP 1.4.0**

What does this mod do?

This mod includes 5 difficulty presets to make the AI easier or much more difficult.

Presets Include:

I'm too young to die (very easy)

  • Very Easy Bosses and Followers
  • Sniper Scavs are not accurate for the first few shots
  • AI has limited awareness
  • Scavs usually flip you off before aiming, giving the player more time to react

Hey, not too rough (easy)

  • Most AI will miss first few shots
  • Also includes easier AI for Bosses and their followers
  • Semi-auto fire rate is slow.
  • AI takes a little longer to fire at you once you are noticed

Hurt me plenty (tough)

  • A nice balance of difficulty.
  • Sniper Scavs and AI can now see you at greater and more natural distances
  • Vision range increased to 320 degrees for all AI
  • Semi-auto rate of fire and AI target acquisition significantly increased.

Ultra Violence - (hard)

  • Personal favorite
  • AI Vision is estimated to 200-300 meters, hello Shotgun Scavs!
  • Nearly all the AI is like fighting online Chads.
  • AI will spot you and start firing almost simultaneously.

Nightmare (veryhard)

  • Sniper Scavs rarely miss and can see you from several hundred meters away.
  • Regular Scavs now use Cultist AI
  • Rate of fire and accuracy surpasses even the most deadliest fighters.
  • You will die.

  • Version 1.4.1c

    **Requires POOP 1.4.0 by Props**

    Whats new:

    • Removed BossKojaniy from all lists. Thanks DrakiaXYZ for the heads up.
    • Everything else is the same as previous version.
  • Version 1.4.1b

    **Requires POOP 1.4.0 by Props**

    Whats new:

    • Completely revamped every difficulty.
    • More variance between difficulties.
    • Easy and Very Easy are actually easy and ridiculously easy. I ran several test raids on each one.
    • Nightmare is playable if you are very, very careful and move slowly throughout the map.
  • Version 1.4.1a

    **Requires POOP 1.4.0 by Props**

    Whats new:

    • Calibrated the 3 toughest difficulties so the AI doesn't have aimbot as much.
    • Raised sniper view distance on Easy and Hard
    • Raised highLevelAIDifficulty on Easy
    • Narrowed vision to 275 degrees on Tough (normal human vision arc is 120)
    • Matched difficulty modifier across the board
    • Adjusted sniper accuracy so they are more accurate. Snipers shouldn't miss as often as they seem to in normal Tarkov.
    • Tuned a few other values for consistency
  • Version 1.4.1

    **Requires POOP 1.4.0 by Props**

    Whats new:

    • If you downloaded 1.4.0 please redownload this newest version
    • Added bosszryachiy and followerzryachiy to the configs, thx Kobrax
    • Disabled "enableAutomaticDifficulty" across all difficulties.
    • Calibrated 'very easy' and 'easy' to be slightly less difficult.
    • Tuned Nightmare so it might actually be playable
    • Adjusted remaining configs to be balanced against Nightmare
  • Version 1.3.0.a

    **Requires POOP 1.3.0 by Props**

    Whats new:

    • tuned each difficulty preset based off of a couple hundred raids of testing
    • slightly decreased the effectiveness of AI across the board (made them slightly easier)
    • increased health multipliers for PMCs, scavs, raiders, cultists, and bosses to keep them alive longer (more action for the player)
    • removed PMC ability to talk except for the easiest difficulty to keep it difficult to locate enemy AI. previously PMCs would sound off repeatedly giving you the ability to hone in on their position before you knew they were there.
    • disabled "allowAimAtHead" on the easiest difficulty
    • other minor adjustments
  • if this mod isn't working correctly for you and you have narrowed it down to this mod being the fault please list the other mods you are using in your comment along with the difficulty preset you are using.

  • is this mod not getting updates anymore?

    • nah...the parent mod POOP hasn't been updated for a while.

The better mod to use now is SAIN. It's much better.

      Heart 1
  • Is this a dead Mod?

  • Whenever i try to download this mod I am brought to a google drive file that i cannot copy or drag, I have tried on opera, chrome and firefox and cannot seem to get around this. I did not have this problem with the original poop mod which downloaded fine. I am completely new to modding however so this could very well be a user mistake.

  • I'm having an Issue that makes my Scav runs harder. I only have BSP and More Checkmarks installed but when I play as a Scav and I get close to AI Scavs either intentionally or accidentally they ignore me for like 3 seconds then they light my ass up then I become hostile to other Scavs. Sometimes it just happens even when I'm not near anyone. I don't know if that's an issue with the Boss AI swap but is killer on my Scav Karma if I have to defend myself. I like the control in difficulty this mod brings for tweaking, Can't Imagine going back to Laser Headshotting Spinbots.

  • hi there, got the message Mod (I'm too young to die (Very Easy)) is missing package.json

    What have i Broken/done wrong?

    • download required mod friend.

      **Requires POOP 1.4.0 by Props**

      make sure to get 1.4.0

    • Thanks for the reply,

I've just double checked and to the best of my knowledge I have the correct version in my mods folder but I'm still being told no :(

    • delete your zPOOP folder, install 1.4.0 then install this mod on top of it. that should fix it.

this mod doesnt come with a package.json at all, ever. you get that from the main POOP file. (1.4.0)

    • Should there be any other messages on the aki server? the one above is gone now but i have a new yellow message saying zPoop is missing from order.json?

Sorry if i'm making stupid mistakes, turns out i'm computer illiterate haha

    • will the mod work regardless of the issue?

  • Issue I've found. If you enable the option for Scavs to use Boss AI, sometimes they will use AI that is required for a mission. For example, the mission Huntsman's Path - Sellout (Eliminate Killa), I got the task completed by killing a regular Scav with, presumably his AI. It also said boss in the end game screen. I'm not sure if there is a way around this, but this is a minor issue I have found nonetheless.

    • good to know I didnt know it did that

in the past versions of POOP iirc, those AI swaps wouldnt affect your quests.

I will change that in the next version, thanks for the heads up.

  • In this most recent update, you posted that you removed bosskojanyi (Shturman) due to DrakiaXYZ's comment.
I've noticed that Shturman's behavior to be very contrary to the really easy setting, i.e., he lasers me similar to how he would usually react. This behavior seems to be exclusive to him and his followers since pmcs and scavs were still really easy.

  • how can i set usec as friendly

    • If you use BetterSpawnsPlus go to the BSP folder in your mods folder. go to config/presets/spawnChangesOnlyConfig.json and change the spoiler to 0.

      or

use SVM go to the BOTS section, at the top of the BOTS section there is purple text that says "PMC of a same faction hostility chance" change that to 0 for no hostile AI same faction as your character.

  • Do I have to select the difficulty level before a raid, or just leave it "as online"?

  • Is this being updated or does it work with 3.5.7?

    • it works with 3.5.7.

I haven't updated to poop 1.5 because it's kind of hard to adjust the bots at the current state of things.

Poop 1.4.0 and the newest version of this mod works with 3.5.7

    • ok cool, thanks for replying

  • Please tell me, first you need to install PROPS OBVIOUSLY ORIGINAL PROGRAM (POOP), and then POOP VARIETY?

Or do I need to choose one of these two mods?

and will it conflict with the mod SAIN - SOLARINT'S AI MODIFICATIONS - ALL IN ONE PACK and SPT REALISM MOD?

    • Variety is not compatible with the 1.5.0 version of POOP, the config files are not the same anymore ^^ For SAIN it was working with POOP 1.4.0, didn't try it with the 1.5.0 so just give it try.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • yes please install required mod then install this mod on top of it. It works great with the vanilla settings but POOP by itself is more or less a template for people to use.

as Griimth said, youll need POOP 1.4.0 for now until I update Variety. I'm the middle of moving this week so itll take a couple days.

      Heart 2
    • looking forward to the new version, at the moment using yours it is a very balanced presets!

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Is there any way for me to lower just the spawn of the goons on Customs? Maybe I'm just unlucky but they are there a lot and I'm getting tired of fighting them lmao

    • in user/mods/SWAG/config.json you can lower the boss chance. it also lowers the chance of that maps main boss as well.

  • So for downloading this mod it brings me to a google doc. How can I download the preferred difficulty to my mods folder for spt. I do have the regular POOP mod already installed with no issue.

    • weird

it should give you 7z file with the difficulties inside.

i just tried with Opera and Chrome?

    • Ok so I got the files to download but now it says package.json is not found. Am I supposed to keep all the difficulty files in the folder or only keep the one i want?

    • after you download and install the required mod

download the mod on this page

inside the archive is a folder called zPOOP and inside that folder are the 5 difficulties.

inside the difficulty that you want is a folder called zPOOP, drop that folder into your mods folder overwrite when prompted.

      this should get you there.

  • Hey so I did some testing and found out that the only sections of the Bots tab in SVM that overrides POOP difficulty tweaks is the Bots to PMC Converter and Bot Spanws, if you don't touch that, or go into the .json file and delete those related sections you're good to go on using both mods.

    Thumbs Up 1
    • thats good to know. I really like the case space manager and ammo stack changes you can do with SVM.

thank you for doing the testing. if anyone asks in the future I'll reference your work.

      Heart 1
  • Does setting POOP down in the load order would help with the SVM conflict?

Or just avoiding changing the pre-raid settings in SVM is enough for POOP to not get overwritten?

  • im using the lowest difficulty and still getting lasered. set all the AI difficulties to -3 and making sure im not changing the difficulty in game and its still not working. its the only mod i have running.

    • theres conflicting mod or SVM and you altered the bots section.

I use a test profile with no other mods ever to test this mod. The AI usually flips me off and shoots 'around' me getting a hit every now and then.

  • Just a heads up, the "bossKojaniy" role causes bots to stand still and ignore players, but your configs have this role included in the list of possible options for bots to be converted to.

There was some discussion in the SPT discord around this, and the SPT devs seem to think if a boss role isn't enabled in the default bots.json configs it was probably for a good reason and shouldn't be used for bots at all

    • thanks for the heads up. I'm not on the SPT discord so I miss all of that. Much appreciated!!

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Does it work on 3.5.5 ?

  • never thought about it until a clip i recently seen from live eft but does this mod help the AI stop the firing one shot but having 3 rounds leave the barrel nonsense?

    • tbh i see that online every now and then, more specifically from bosses. but I havent seen it on spt in quite a while.

  • I chose the easiest difficulty "Too young to die" and the game was way, way, way harder than before. I was getting lasered by a TT pistol and got instantly one tapped to my lower nape. Both AI that I encountered were scavs. Is it meant to be this hard on the easiest difficulty? Thanks.

    • during testing they would normally flip me off and shoot around me like this

    • Yea, I don't know why that'd happen but I turned it down from -0.5 to -3 and now theyre brainless. So it's all good, nice mod any how.

      Happy 1
  • playing on 3.5.0 and I'm finding so many of the bots just stand in place until I encounter them and get them to notice me. Any setting I can adjust to make them more mobile?

    • that sounds very unusual.

which difficulty are you using and what other mods are you using? i can try to replicate the same thing and figure out which mod it is.

    • Having the same issue, modlist below:

      1lIoCof
      https://imgur.com/a/1lIoCof

    • there may be overlapping features with this mod and Valens AIO.

    • Sorry for the lack of earlier reply. I also have Valens AIO

  • Playing this mod with tough selected even after the adjustments and the bots are just laser beaming me from really far away with low tier weapons, it feels like fighting rogues constantly, but on easy they are way too stupid and just wait around for you to line up a headshot.

    • I was finding that the lowest difficult was still too difficult for me (maybe I'm just bad). I used the easiest setting ("Too Young To Die") and adjusted the following setting to get an easier experience.

      overallAIDifficultyMod

By default it's set to -0.50. I set it to -4 just to make sure it actually did something. It did! The bots were absurdly easy, missed almost all their shots, and took a relatively long time to start aiming at me. From there I bumped the value up a bit each match to see where I wanted it.

Not sure how it will impact higher difficulty profiles, but might be worth a try.

    • Easy

      Tough

there shouldnt be THAT MUCH discrepancy between the two difficulties when the values are close like this. Try clearing your cache and do another raid. Might be a mod conflict too. Its impossible for me to see what is in everybody's load order.

  • Since 3.5.1 even with Variety setup to lower ai's they are very cracked and shooting you trough multiple bushes. Could this be due to the 3.5.1 update?

    • which difficulty preset are you using?

it could be because of 3.5.1

as soon as the main POOP mod gets updated, I'll update these configurations.

  • Question about the aiChanges section:

How does the ai categories like "lowLevelAIs" change the ai behavior of the classes assigned to them?

Also, what's the difference between exusec and usec? I think I managed to sort out most of the others...

    Thanks for the amazing mod!

Edit: updated for the new version that you just released with a more specific question.

    • Quote

How does the ai categories like "lowLevelAIs" change the ai behavior of the classes assigned to them?

for example the game uses the 'lowlevelAI' package for scavs and snipers. if you move Rogues to that same category then theoretically the Rogues will act the same as scavs.

Also, what's the difference between exusec and usec? I think I managed to sort out most of the others...

USEC and Bear is what POOP uses to identify PMCs in the game.

      exusec is a Rogue.

      pmcbot is a Raider.

  • Can anyone give me an idea as to why AI are absolutely lasering me? They're all acting like Rogues on Lighthouse. See me from far away, and so many fast shots. I have POOP installed and Variety. I installed the zPOOP folder into my user/mods folder and then copied the zPOOP folder from the "Hey not too rough (Easy)" directory into my mods folder. It says it is loaded successfully in the launcher.. but I feel like the AI are crazy strong. I've died every raid from insane shots.

    Mods installed:

    zPOOP(variety)

    AmmoStats

I had some other mods such as SWAG installed, but I deleted the directory from my mods folder thinking maybe it was overriding POOP and making them crazy strong. I've tried several raids with just zPOOP and AmmoStats and they're just godlike.

    Thanks!

    • SWAG doesnt affect AI so its fine. its in the name, Simple Wave AI Generator

'Hey not too rough' should be plenty easy. Are you sure POOP and Ammo Stats are the only two mods you have installed?

Also make sure you arent changing AI amount or AI difficulty in the pre-raid options screen.

I'll do a raid right now with using that same difficulty and see how it is on my end.

    • Ah, interesting. In the config for SWAG it seems to imply it affects ai difficulty as well, so I thought it was ramping up the AI:

      Instructions (Config.json)

      -------------------------------

In the config file the settings do the following:

aiDifficulty: sets only the bots from this spawner (does not effect the default)

      options:

      "easy",

      "normal",

      "hard",

      "impossible",

      "random"

      Thanks

    • so are you saying you got it figured out or you need help?

Swag doesnt affect AI. if you change any of these below then it will spawn harder bots but since theyre all on normal then it doesnt affect AI, hence the word NORMAL.

      options:

      "easy",

      "normal",

      "hard",

      "impossible",

      "random"

I'll run a raid on Easy to double check, but I remember last week or so, another person had a similar issue. I ran a raid and all the AI flipped me off before shooting. Most of their first few shots missed me or looked like the hotel scene on Dumb and Dumber where he shoots all around the bad guy but doesnt hit him.

    • No sorry, still having the issue. I was just explaining why I thought maybe SWAG was affecting it.

For example, my last raid before I rage quit was on Woods. I was on the big rock just south of bunker overlook and was getting destroyed by a scav down at scav house. Pretty much full auto bursts.. Peak my head over the rock, full auto burst. It's like when you aggro Rogues on Lighthouse.

I'll delete all my mod folders and try fresh and see if that fixes it. I'm just not sure what's causing it. I have overwritten the poop directory with your variety a few times and it's still happening. I don't adjust the AI in the pre-raid menu or anything. So it's just weird.

Question about POOP/Variety. Are the AI amount the same as online?

    • I have noticed the AI is a bit tougher on 3.5.0. I may have to revamp the settings from the ground up.

I ran a raid on easy on Factory and I'm uploading it to YouTube as I type this. once complete ill post a reply.

I could zig zag back and forth and none of the Scavs were hitting their shots. every now and then they might get me with a shotgun if I was only walking.

you can reduce the semi-auto fire rate in the configs, that might alleviate some of the issues?

  • is there a way so scavs dont use the Boss ai?
its quite annoying when they just stand still and dont shoot

    • are you using tagged and cursed in the pre-raid menu?

also which difficulty are you using so I can test it on my end?

    • Hurt me plenty (tough)

      • this version
    • scavs (assault and cursed assault) use lowlevel AI on that difficulty.

      "disableAllAIChanges": false,
          "enableAutomaticDifficulty": false,
          "enableLegendaryPlayerMode": true,
          "aiChanges": {
"chanceChangeScavToWild": 69, <~~~~~ change that number to something lower if you want the random chance of them using boss ai lowered or turned off. set to 0 (zero) for off.

Having said that, that difficulty is pretty popular and I havent had any comments reporting a similar issue as yours.

Are you using tagged and cursed or any other mods? I use plenty of other mods myself but there are a few that dont mix together.

  • Is there any chance we could get a difficulty that's the middle ground between "not too rough" and "hurt me plenty"? The former is way too easy. AI just stand in front of you for a few seconds, without aiming, playing voice lines and waiting for you to shoot. And the latter is too aimbotty and hard. AI shoot you right in the head within nanoseconds of you peeking them. That's not challenging, it's straight up broken.

    • I do agree with you, lately I've been doing some tuning on the Tough difficulty. Should release new update soon.

    • I second this and am excited to see an update :)

  • Hey I'm relatively new to all of this, but is it normal to not have to overwrite anything when adding the variety mod into the same folder that the original POOP is in?

I only put the desired difficulty folder in my user->mods folder where the original POOP is, and I wasn't prompted to overwrite or save anything.

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

    • you should be prompted to overwrite yes.

      i would...

      delete existing POOP folder

download POOP 1.4.0 and install like normal

download POOP Variety 1.4.1 install and it should ask you to overwrite.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • That worked thanks! Also, am i able to untick "enable bosses" in the pregame settings without messing up the mod? I've been leaving it checked and I have been running into bosses every raid.

      Thanks again!

    • that might work ? ive never tried that before tbh

    • Can confirm both checking/unchecking enable bosses seems to be working fine, doesn't mess the mod up whatsoever

  • Currently trying this out together with SPT Realism Mod and SVM. No issues so far, seems like it's working as intended! Only thing I've noticed so far is that scavs don't respond to wiggling anymore when playing as scav, though this could be totally unrelated to POOP. Doesn't bother me either.

I get why I shouldn't adjust AI difficulty in the pre-raid screen, but is there a reason why AI amount shouldn't be adjusted here? And if I want to adjust amounts, would I be better off just using SWAG for that? I'd prefer the easiest way possible for bot amount adjustments to be as close to vanilla SPT-AKI as possible, since it's a feature I use pretty often. Any ideas or am I out of luck here?

    • if you change anything in the pre-raid screen, it negates the changes for your AI mod (POOP)

swag will add more AI for sure.

I cant be 100% sure of compatibility with SPT Realism Mod. I've used that mod but that was back when it first came out and havent used it since so I dont really know what it is/isnt compatible with.

    • Gotcha! Thanks a lot :)

    • Do you know if changing stuff in the pre-raid screen negates POOP permanently or only until server/game restart? Or is it until next match?
