The sun hung low over the war-torn streets of Tarkov as a group of hardened PMCs, known simply as "Reaper Squad," made their way through the debris-filled alleyways towards the Mechanic's makeshift armory. Led by their seasoned leader, Vasiliy, the squad had faced countless battles together, forging bonds as strong as the steel they carried.
As they entered the dimly lit workshop, the Mechanic greeted them with a tired grin, his hands busy inspecting a row of firearms lined up on the workbench. Vasiliy stepped forward, his gaze fixed on a sleek battle rifle resting amongst the arsenal.
"What's the new piece, Mechanic?" Vasiliy's voice was steady, betraying none of the curiosity that burned within him.
The Mechanic's tired eyes lit up with a hint of excitement as he gestured towards the rifle. "Fresh off the truck... Heckler & Koch G3s straight from the heart of Germany."
The members of Reaper Squad exchanged nods of recognition, their eyes gleaming with interest at the sight of the iconic battle rifle. Mikhail, the squad's designated marksman, stepped forward to inspect the weapon, his fingers tracing the contours of the familiar design.
"The G3, huh? A true classic. Makes me wish I could get my hands on the PSG-1." Mikhail remarked, his voice filled with reverence.
The Mechanic nodded in agreement, a grin spreading across his weathered face. "Indeed. Built to last, with 7.62x51mm NATO rounds to pack a punch."
Vasiliy's brow furrowed as he considered the price. "And what's the cost for one of these, Mechanic?"
The Mechanic scratched his stubbled chin, his gaze thoughtful as he considered their request. "For you? Let's say... a few favors owed and a bit of hard-earned roubles. But if you prove yourselves reliable, I might just have something special for you. A variant of the G3, a light machine gun known as the HK11E."
The members of Reaper Squad exchanged eager glances, the promise of such a powerful weapon fueling their determination. Vasiliy nodded in agreement. "You have a deal, Mechanic. We'll work with you."
As they finalized the transaction, the distant echoes of gunfire served as a grim reminder of the dangers that lurked beyond the safety of the workshop walls.
"Oh..." The mechanic motioned to his shelf that bore some dusty parts. "I've had these sitting around for a while, Mikhail, but I've got the conversion kit to turn your G3 into a PSG-1. Come back once your group has proven themselves and maybe we'll strike a deal."
Armed with their new G3s and the promise of even greater rewards, Reaper Squad felt a renewed sense of purpose as they prepared to face the challenges of Tarkov once more.

Installation:
Drop the "user" folder into your "SPT" directory.
This mod adds the HKG3 and HK11E into SPT, along with their own respective mastery trees. You'll find the preset and mods start in Mechanic shop at LL2. Mechanic has some extra customizability mods throughout his LL's as well, including a PSG-1 conversion preset at LL3.
This mod has been tested and is compatible with playing with buddies. For Realism players, the gun is compatible but won't have it's own ballistics/recoil tweaks. There will be a Realism compatibility patch included in a new version once it's complete.

Welcome To Tarkov (WTT) is a mod for SPT AKI that has been in development for over a year. What started as a small passion project has grown in size to incorporate 10+ core members as well as contributions from other well-known mod authors and friends of WTT alike.
How does Welcome To Tarkov change the game?
As a mod, WTT overhauls SPT AKI, touching on almost every vanilla game system, as well as adding completely new systems to the game and its core mechanics. Inspired by open-world hardcore survival projects like STALKER: Anomaly and STALKER: GAMMA, WTT takes SPT’s artificial multiplayer MMO difficulty adders and replaces them with a challenging world economy, loot scarcity rebalancing, a lore friendly quest overhaul, and a map-traveling system built from rewritten portions of the Traveler mod allowing seamless travel between maps. Aside from its changes to the game’s core properties, WTT also adds to the world’s variety of traders, NPC’s, characters, items, and quests:
- Over 500 custom bundles adding new weapons, attachments, wearables, containers, food, medical, and barter items.
- New bosses with their own custom gear that will be properly incorporated into WTT’s quest lines.
- New, meaningful traders with their own lore-friendly quests and narrative elements to help the player progress through the story-line of WTT.
- New playable characters and outfits that will add to the player’s customization abilities.
- New quest types incorporating brand new map extraction points, putting the player’s knowledge and familiarization of SPT’s maps to the test.
Welcome To Tarkov stands as one of the largest mods created for SPT AKI thus far.
When does Welcome To Tarkov release?
Thursday.
