Just to let you know, got this typeerror mentioning broker mod in server window, at the time I was in hideout clicking to get loot from hideout scav case (this was also while using the optional temporary fix for items missing from base cache, since I was previously getting that a lot referencing items added by both the Goblin King and S.H.I.T mods; if I'm reading the server error right the typeerrors reference that temp fix?):

On exiting the game and restarting all was normal again and I could claim the scav case loot successfully and it didn't throw the error that time. Only seen it happen this once. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the mod btw, it's great.

Does this mod not work with other mods? Just downloaded SPT and this mod with the Realism Mod and neither mod works. This mod will pop up after launching the server that the file is in the wrong folder to move it to a different folder, then when I move it to the folder the server launcher says, the mod does nothing still. So I close game and mod menu, try to launch the mod menu and it says it's in the wrong folder. So it's either the server launcher is saying it's in the wrong folder and it's not or the mod is moved to the right folder and the mod thinks it's in the wrong folder. Never played with mods on any games before so it's weird I tried putting the files in both folders and neither option worked.

Sounds like you're maybe installing to wrong folders. Here's how a correct working SVM install looks in the directory/folder structure, so you can check yours looks like that (and if not, install it so it does - don't worry about the name of my spt folder or svm folder as those might be named differently for you and that's fine, it's the structure of the folders within folders that I'm drawing attention to here):

    SVM INSTALL
Image SVM INSTALL hosted in Freeimage.host
    freeimage.host

Note that, as in the image, when correctly installed, the svm 'upper' folder is in SPT/user/mods and SVM's launcher gfve.exe is in that folder SPT/user/mods/SVM/

(Most mods install this way, and are generally zipped to allow them to land in the correct folder/s after unzipping in the folder directed by the instructions. Some have, instead or as well as, a dll that will end up in SPTfolder/Bepinex/plugins/ (typically a .dll and sometimes other folders). Basically, read the installation instructions very carefully for each mod, as they can vary and the folder structure is critical to them operating correctly).

Very nice update, options for quest and extraction indicators on compass are very helpful.

I think if the extraction static info could include (maybe optionally) the distance in meters to that extract, it could be even more helpful, for example:

    "Ventilation Shaft: 100m"

That way players could quickly see which are the nearest extracts to their present location. <3

Hi, I like the idea of the mod but I'm getting these TypeErrors in my server when I try to use it.

I'm not smart enough to interpret TypeErrors but I do note a few references to a directory (C:\snapshot\etc) that look unusual because that's outside of the installation (I've seen similar TypeErrors once before while trying to use the mod Faction Identifier Armbands, see comments from March 2nd: https://hub.sp-tarkov.com/file…ghlight=armbands#comments ).

Any suggestions for troubleshooting it appreciated.

    Thanks <3

I'm trying to troubleshoot why SVM's setting of same faction hostility chance doesn't work for me anymore (it used to, I'm on SPT 3.5.4 with SVM 1.6.3). I have same faction hostility chance set to 0% (with a ratio so there are more enemy faction than same faction), but in raids my faction are 100% aggro each and every raid.

I've ruled out mods I use that I thought possibly could have been involved by removing them. Still get engaged by my faction (and yet when I return fire to defend myself they yell friendly fire etc, and I'm like yeah exactly).

Looking in my profile.json and searching for "USEC" I see it stores a bunch of values keeping tally of my usec kills and a list of dogtags I have in my inventory (I note those entries identify the killer i.e most often me). I wonder if there's a value elsewhere in the profile (or other file) derived from that (or other) information that's hard locking my faction as aggro in raids despite what I set in SVM, or if SVM's hostility chance setting isn't working as it should or expected for whatever reason.

    Any help/suggestions appreciated.

Update: Also tried on a new profile on clean install. First time I met a same side PMC it was friendly, but within a few raids I was once again getting shot at by my faction without any provocation whilst having svm's same faction hostility chance set to 0%.

    Hi,

Just installed your mod on 3.5.3. Only Mod I have installed so far and I did not change any of your default settings. I have done 5 raids on customs and have had Rashala twice at dorms, sanitar once at dorms and Shturman once as old gas. The only raid I did not see a boss I did not go to old gas or dorms. Is it a crazy coincidence or is something wrong?

    Thanks.

May have just gotten 'lucky' or 'unlucky' (depending on perspective!). Something to note is that the mod's defaults absolutely will lead to a higher chance of bosses being in raids than in non-modded play, because some of the special event-style spawn generators guarantee a boss or bosses, and the vanilla-like spawn generators also have the as-live chance of a boss spawning, so taken together overall you will see more bosses more regularly if you use the mod's current defaults than you'll see without using the mod.

I didn't get quite as lucky/unlucky as you, but I did after a bunch of raids feel that I was encountering raids that deviated from likelivetarkov (in the boss-heavy style) a little too often. I wanted "like live" raids most often (which still have a boss chance of course), with just the occasional special event style raid occuring. If that's something you'd prefer, here's what you could try:

Find the spawnchangesonlyconfig.json (found in the mod's config/presets folder) and make a copy of it,

rename that copy to whatever you want to call it (e.g. "Tweakedconfig.json")

open it in notepad+ and for each map's section where you see

    "PTL_BSP_SG_PRESET_LIKELIVETARKOV_1: 3"

    "PTL_BSP_SG_PRESET_LIKELIVETARKOV_2: 3"

    change each 3 to a 5.

Find configpresetmanager.json (in the mod's config folder) and open it in notepad+ and change the active preset, in other words where it says

    "configFilePreset": "spawnChangesOnlyConfig"

    change it to say

    "configFilePreset": "TweakedConfig"

(or whatever you named your edited preset json if you didn't call it TweakedConfig - remember to leave out ".json" from the name).

Those quick and easy changes will make it far more likely to enter a raid and find it of the "like live" type versus the other spicier raid variations, and overall will mean bosses won't be met as often as the mod's defaults. If you wanted to prevent the spicier stuff entirely, you can change their weightings to 0 either for a given map or all maps (can change it back and fine tune it all to how you need it - the mod is highly customizable and flexible).

Noticing this happening too. Seems more frequent when I kill at long range (though that may be coincidence).

Around one in 5 killed enemies stand there frozen (and unlootable). [Nah, it's way less than that, it's just me majorly noticing it when it does happen cos it's so unexpected]

Mods I've got going from your list (all 3.5.0 versions) are:

    HideoutArchitect

    ODT Item info

    AmandsGraphics

    BushNoESP

Tbh I don't see any of those mods as likely to be involved though if I was to gamble my best guess would be BushNoESP as it's the only one that actually does anything to do with AI. Let's try without it (which will be a pain cos I love what the mod does!) and see if we still get the issue?
