Replaces the in-game map screen with actually useful maps with dynamic information!

Notice: I'm stepping back from my SPT mods for now and have added some known community authors in the case that I am out of touch, which is very likely to happen in the next months. These authors are not obligated to anything, just want to make sure that someone can add a maintainer in the future. My SPT projects were started to keep me occupied after a death in my immediate family and I've lost interest in Tarkov for now.

Features

  • Map organized in stacked layers / levels
    • Text map labels supported overlaid on map
    • Automatic selection of layer based on player position (configurable)
    • Manual level control available on left of map screen (as well as shift-scroll and configurable hotkeys)
  • Automatic min/max zoom based on size of map
  • Support for coordinate rotation, since BSG decided to make north different direction on many of the maps
  • Drag-based map pan and mousewheel-based map zoom controls; additional hotkeys for map control available (configurable)
  • Peek at map hotkey (configurable)
  • Icon-based map markers placed both statically and dynamically. Currently:
    • In-raid dynamic player icon
    • In-raid dynamic current extracts for player
    • In-raid dynamic quest icons (loosely based on Prop's GTFO)
    • In-raid dynamic player-dropped backpacks
    • In-raid dynamic BTR icon (with icon by Kuromi, see marker_credits.txt for more info)
    • In-raid dynamic airdrop icons (generated when airdrop lands)
    • In-raid dynamic markers for corpses
    • In-raid dynamic other players/bots icons
      • Friendly players will only show if using another mod that adds multiplayer or adds friendly bots (not sure if that exists)
      • Enemy players, bosses, and scavs off by default, intended for mostly debug
    • Static markers for all extracts for all maps out-of-raid
    • Statically-loaded locked door with dynamic icon and color based on key status
      • Out-of-raid, green with key means player has it in inventory, yellow with key means key in stash, red with lock otherwise
      • In-raid, green with key means player has the key, red with lock means player doesn't have key
    • Static markers for switches and levers

Installation

- Drag folder from zip file directly into your SPT-AKI install folder

Configuration

General

  • Replace Map Screen: If the map should replace the BSG default map screen, requires swapping away from modded map to refresh
  • Center on Player Hotkey: Pressed while the map is open, centers the player
  • Move Map * Hotkey: Hotkey to move the map *
  • Move Map Hotkey Speed: How fast the map should move, units are map percent per second
  • Change Map Level * Hotkey: Hotkey to move the map level * (shift-scroll also does this in map screen)
  • Zoom Map * Hotkey: Hotkey to zoom the map * (scroll also does this in map screen)
  • Zoom Map Hotkey Speed: Zoom Map Hotkey Speed
  • Dump Info Hotkey: Pressed while the map is open, dumps json MarkerDefs for extracts, loot, and switches into root of plugin folder (only shows in advanced config mode)

Dynamic Markers

  • Show Player Marker: If the player marker should be shown in raid
  • Show Friendly Player Markers: If friendly player markers should be shown
  • Show Enemy Player Markers: If enemy player markers should be shown (generally for debug)
  • Show Scav Markers: If enemy scav markers should be shown (generally for debug)
  • Show Boss Markers: If enemy boss markers should be shown
  • Show Locked Door Status: If locked door markers should be updated with status based on key acquisition
  • Show Quests In Raid: If quests should be shown in raid
  • Show Extracts In Raid: If extracts should be shown in raid
  • Show Extracts Status In Raid: If extracts should be colored according to their status in raid
  • Show Dropped Backpack In Raid: If the player's dropped backpacks (not anyone elses) should be shown in raid
  • Show BTR In Raid: If the BTR should be shown in raid
  • Show Airdrop In Raid: If airdrops should be shown in raid when they land
  • Show Friendly Corpses In Raid: If friendly corpses should be shown in raid
  • Show Player-killed Corpses In Raid: If corpses killed by the player should be shown in raid, killed bosses will be shown in another color
  • Show Friendly-killed Corpses In Raid: If corpses killed by friendly players should be shown in raid, killed bosses will be shown in another color
  • Show Boss Corpses In Raid: If boss corpses (other than ones killed by the player) should be shown in raid
  • Show Other Corpses In Raid: If corpses (other than friendly ones or ones killed by the player) should be shown in raid

In-Raid

  • Auto Select Level: If the level should be automatically selected based on the players position in raid
  • Auto Center On Player Marker: If the player marker should be centered when showing the map in raid
  • Reset Zoom On Center: If the zoom level should be reset each time that the map is opened while in raid
  • Centering On Player Zoom Level: What zoom level should be used as while centering on the player (0 is fully zoomed out, and 1 is fully zoomed in)
  • Peek at Map Shortcut: The keyboard shortcut to peek at the map
  • Hold for Peek: If the shortcut should be held to keep it open. If disabled, button toggles

  • Many thanks for your great Work with this Mod! Really enjoy using it. I was wondering whether IT would be possible to add a Feature, that obfuscates the view direction and also makes the Position less accurate (with a bigger Symbol/circle). This would allow to find enemies easier, but still Not that easy....Just a thought. Might Just be me liking this.

  • I tried adding versions of 0.5.2 or 0.5.3 in my 3.10.5 version of spt, but they both prompt "Could not load [DynamicMaps 0.5.2] because it has missing dependencies: com.SPT.custom (v3.10.0 or newer)”.

  • server shows that the mod is loaded but there is nothing in the game

    • You're missing the client side of the mod. Reinstall it.

    • Unfortunately it didn't help, I removed all SPT, installed it from scratch and put in user and this second file and still the same thing

    I cannot get bot markers to show on the map with them enabled in the bepinex menu. Wondering if it was something I am doing wrong?

    • Same for me, tried even with Intel Center Levels but the debug markers don´t seem to work.

    • Also having the same issue, dead player, Boss, Scavs markers do show up on death just no movement markers.

    • Please update to the latest and it should be resolved. If not please let CJ or I know.

  • I see the markers for most of the basic features, but is there any way to customize the icons of the loose loot items more? I did not see them in the list of other icons added to the map. Where are those icons located, for example the loose item double arrow spin.

  • Is there any way to get the 'Show Scavs' on the map to only work when you yourself are playing as a Scav? Similar to the 'Show Friendly Players' option? Then when the Scavs are hostile to you, they would disappear from the map?

    Am wondering, if it would be possible to have a similar functionality for SCAV raids, as we have for Intelligence Center? I'd love to see fellow scavs during the raid, and maybe the boss too: as a default option without having to re-enable it in the config menu :)

  • Hello I played a game with SPT-VR turned on but realized that the dynamic maps mods does not show up in the map tab. I know that you dont have control over that mods and I will also leave a comment on their mod page but do you know any way for me to have the live map?

  • Unfortunately I can't see wish listed items on my map in raid even with the setting enabled and my wish list full of stuff.

  • Guys, Im having a problem with the mod. not game breaking but its kinda unintended I think.

    I put the progression to show scavs at Intel Lvl 2, PMCs and Bosses at Intel Lvl 3. But the bosses are already showing, as they're scavs. even the marker on them are equal to scav ones (the orange arrow).

    Im using the "MOAR" spawn mod. can this problem come from this mod? like, i'm thinking that the mod is making the bosses spawn like scavs...

    • Yes, at least the ones from VCQL, I don't know if there are some that don't use that or whatever but those definitely work

    • Is your SPT working at all? What version of SPT are you on?

    • Either upgrade your SPT to the required version (3.10) or install the .5 release Dynamic maps. (The last update for 3.9)

  • I have enabled showing AI on map, i've been ambushed few times by Partisan, is he maybe not tracked ?

    • it doesnt seem like he is, im dealing with the same problem, i have boss notifier telling me hes spawned but i cant see him on the map it makes me so paranoid lmao
      edit: i think he actually shows as a scav, no way at all to differentiate him from all the others other than physically identifying him

  • Great mod by the way, but how can i remove the "is this a reference" marker ?

    • Those markers are quest markers.

      "Is this a reference?" is the name of a quest that fence gives you.

      You can disable quest markers in the config in the f12 menu.

  • Hey, I'm getting some random crashes here and there at the end of raids with this mod enabled. I'm not sure if it's a conflict or something with the mod specifically, but here is my LogOutput.log file.

    • Same here. How did you determine it was this mod?

    • I didn't fully determine if it was this mod or not, but I looked at the chain of object reference errors and when they occurred. Dynamic Maps is almost always there when it crashes.

  • I've noticed that when progression is enabled, and scavs are unlocked by upgrading to whatever tier you set, then it registers bosses as normal Scavs. Had it happen with Shturman and his BossFollower-s just now (purple skull right after for Shturman, which is boss kill as far as I can tell)

  • Is there anyway to show tasks in map when ur in the hideout to plan things out for example ?

  • If the zoom levels of the main map and the mini-map are not the same, the main map does not center on the player when opened, and the map appears misaligned. This issue can be resolved by entering the same values in the settings menu, but the zoom level of the main map changes every time a new game starts, requiring adjustments for each session. Additionally, when trying to zoom in or out on the map, the zoom levels of the main map and mini-map must be realigned each time. It would be helpful if the map could remain centered on the player even when the zoom levels differ or if the issue of the main map's zoom level changing with every game could be resolved.

  • A white square appears on my map, I realized after few raids that they are the armor repair kit, and the white squares remain after each raid, also when I throw them on the ground another square appears where I drop it

  • I haven't seen anyone else complain about this so I wonder if it's maybe another mod doing this. For some reason the maps looks small like the image below when I look at the full screen. Any clue why?

    • in F12 menu bind zoom in and out keys to - + (maybe default I dont remember)
      press - and + to zoom the map

    • You are a lifesaver. This has been plaguing me for weeks and somehow I couldn't get the zoom to work before but after rebinding it to something else it works. Thank you.

    • Been talking to Cj (mod maintainer) about this for a little while. He inherited the mod (i.e. didn't write the original code), and it needs a rewrite/overhaul.


      Issue tends to happen after the 2nd (and subsequent) raid, regardless if switching areas/raids or not. I've just gotten in the habit of re-zooming the map every raid.

  • Question: Is it normal that objectives don't get removed as you complete them? For me, I need to toggle quest markers on and off again for it to update

    • The only time I've seen a quest stay is if it's not completed. Usually when you have to survive for example to complete it.

    • Yeah, I'm talking about individual objectives not entire quests. So if I have to collect 3 objects and extract, the markers for each item stay as I'm collecting them. If I toggle markers on and off, they update according to what I've already done but I feel like this should happen automatically.

      And yeah, when the whole quest is complete they don't reappear next time but that's not the issue.

    • Quest objectives seem to update when I open and close the map with M.
