SamSwat's L85A2 and GIAT FAMAS updated to 3.9 (Realism Patch Included)

Major thank you to GrooveypenguinX and the rest of the WTT group for letting me use their codebase, And to SamSwat for making the original weapons and mod

Contains everything from the original mods.

Included Realism patch is Therkelsen's patch with some stuff tweaked, (Don't install the SPT-Realism folder if you don't have the Realism mod)

HOW TO INSTALL

Drag and drop the folder into your root spt folder

  • will we ever get compatibility for attachments other than vanilla ones?

    • Probably not as I think I would have to add the IDs for every modded attachment manually

    • turns out if you put the l85 before say the susat mod in the load order you can put the susat on the gun but if its the other way around you cant. so load gun mods before anything that comes with attachments

    • Ah I thought you meant attachments like flashlights or grips, Mods that add magazines or scopes work fine with what you said.

  • Hi, nice to see these old mods getting ported. If you are willing to keep doing this I suggest trying to port some of the mihally stuff. Like the svd classic stock, the rpk-74 and the gold aks.

  • Hi, I have a question regarding FAMAS and it's stats.

    Is there a way to edit those?

    What I mean by that - in game stats are really low recoil and atrocious moa (probably balancing issues). Is there a way to edit that? I find it somewhat strange that 480mm barrel is so innscurate

    • You can edit stuff in db/Items/FAMAS.json but I wouldn't unless you know what to look for , I used most of the stats from the original mod so not everything might feel correct for current spt but the MOA should be around 1.4-1.3 so im not sure how ur getting terrible moa stats, are you using it with realism?

    • I didn't use FAMAS with 3.9.x yet. I used it in 3.8.3. and it had like 3.95 moa, hence the question. It was with raid overhaul though.

    • Raid overhaul already adds this gun and the l85 so it most likely conflicts, plus you also back ported it so i cant really help you there.

  • collimator sights seem to zoom in dramatically to the point they're unusable, but iron sights and optics seem fine.

    i am using this alongside spt realism's weapon changes (but not ammo/ballistics etc) and fov fix, if that helps

    • What sight did you use to get this to happen? Tried a couple and couldn't it to zoom in.

    • i only tested with the acog iron sight, burris fastfire mounted to an elcan dr 1-4 and an eotech exps3

    • Hm im not sure then, i couldn't get it to happen on an install with just realism, fov fix and this mod

    • it might be my fov fix settings adjusting the position of optics and such however it only applies to collimators and not scopes which is strange, i'll do some testing and figure out what exactly is causing it

  • amazing! would you be able to make the L85 compatible with the "Painter" stuff? like the mag tape mags, etc.

    • I will see what I can do

    • Double checked and if u change your load order to have the l85 load before mag tape the mags should be compatible

  • https://pastebin.com/EsBjEuSc hey, made a fix for the railed famas trader assort not having a barrel, replace the CustomAssortSchemes.json in the >SamSWAT-FAMAS>db>customassortschemes folder and it should fix that annoying red lol

  • Mounting scopes on rear sight seems to be broken for L85A2.
    If you will update i recommend delete slot for scopes on rear sight or fix it.
    Anyway, anything else seems to work so thanks for good mod!

    • You might have some other mod letting you do that since the rearsight shouldn't have any slots for sights.

    • Thanks for the reply. It's possible, but I have no idea which mod might be causing this problem. I'll write if I find it.

    • Sorry about that, found out what you meant, I only checked in the preset menu originally but clicking on the rear sight says it can mount something, Will put out a fix in a little
