Item Valuation 1.1.1

Do not ask when mod authors will update their mods or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to bans.

Lightweight quick reference valuation tool. Items will be coloured based on configurable values (price, armour class, penetration, etc). Automatically works natively with Live Flea Prices.

ColorConverterAPI is required if you would like to use custom colours.

If you do not have ColorConverterAPI, the colours will be hardcoded values.

Allows adjustable threshold values for ammo, weapons, armours, and items.

Allows adjustable colours for ammo, weapons, armour, and items.

Enable/Disable the type of items you want coloured.

Enable/Disable colouring flea banned items.

If you have Live Flea Prices, this mod will automatically load after it, and check the price table after it is updated.

The background colour on items will update, if necessary, after the next raid you run or client restart.

The descriptions on items do not update until you restart the client.

(THANK YOU DRAKIA <3)

Alternative: ODT-ItemInfo

It's a very good mod but I don't particularly like how certain parts of it work (thus spawning the creation of this mod).

Alternative: LootValue
It's a very good mod, but not what I was looking for.

Alternative: Ammo Stats In Description

Very nice mod, still useful even after BSG changes. ItemValuation automatically disables Ammo recolouring if you use this mod.

Installation

  1. Download Item Valuation
  2. Open the downloaded zip file
  3. Select the user folder in the zip file
  4. Drag the user folder from zip file into your SPT folder

    Initial release

  • Hello, I'm having an issue, your mod and Ammo Stats in Description have a conflict when showing bullet penetration value and damage, can't display penetration value and damage properly on bullet names, no matter how I adjust their loading order, can't get it to show

    • This mod will not do ammunition if Ammo Stats is in installed.

    • Can I get it to continue changing the name of the ammo and make it show damage and penetration values, which works great

  • Hi there.

I would like to know what criteria are use to each type of ammunition; (damage, penetration, trader price, FLEA Market price,.......ect.) :?:

  • So, currently for some items like meds and barter stuff that take multiple slots mod shows per slot flea price. Any chance for an option to show total price please? Simple math scares me bugcatscared

    Heart 1
    • I can add a toggle in to switch that, the reason it shows per slot price is because that's how the mod colours items - non weapons/armours/ammo are calculated by per slot price for their colour tier, so that's the price showing in the description.

  • Hi acidphantasm,

Thank you for making this mod!

I'm using 3.11 and noticed some item prices list differently in their context menus compared to how much traders will actually buy them for.

For example, starting M4A1 is listed as 35,947 (@ Mechanic) but Mechanic is actually buying for 38,970. The discrepancy can be even smaller, for example, propital reg stim is listed as 13,268 (@ Therapist) but Therapist is actually buying for 13,267.

Side question: is it possible to toggle off those prices from the context menu all together?

Appreciate you for all your hard work!

    • The description trader price is based on the lowest loyalty level, because the server has no idea what loyalty level you are when it is started because your client hasn't launched. For cases where it's off by 1 is because of rounding.

At this time there is no toggle to disable it.

    • That makes so much sense. Thanks for your response!

  • Hello acidphantasm,

I think this is a great mod but I have one critique.

The goal of this type of mod is to enable the user to quickly identify the value of an item. I am aware that this mod leverages the handbook price. My issue is that this handbook price does not accurately reflect what the optimal trader will pay for a given item.

Example: SJ6 has a per slot guide price of ~ 190k, but it sells to therapist (best trader for this) for 19k.

Is there any way to have the coloring be based off the sell price of the item?

As is, looting strictly based off background color (with or without flea banned color disabled) will not result in the most valuable items.

I supposed this is impossible either way, because the color needs to be set when the spt server starts, and things like armor and weapons could have dynamic value. I am interested in your thoughts on this matter.

    Thanks for your hard work!

    • Everything is based off flea prices right now and nothing to do with traders.

There is a feature request for trader prices but this mod does not have that at this time.

If you use Live Flea Prices, the background colours refresh as needed based on the new price. If you don't then it's only set at server start.

  • thank you acidphantasm for the mod! May I please know if there's a way to show colors for only the 2nd and 1st most valuable item types (good and verygood)?

Is it as easy as editing in a specific hexcode transparent color type?

    • If you use colour converter API then you can adjust the colours for the ones you want to be "hidden" to a dark greyish colour hex code and that should allow you do to do what want.

If you don't use color converter, there is no way at this time.

    • that's the fix! thank you Acidphantasm!

  • would be nice if we could swap between flea and trader values.

    • Fair point, maybe in next b version

    • yep, this is something i am looking for, it would be nice to have trader option too

    • It has a trader option in the current version for 3.11

  • mod is great, i will be using it from now on, but I am missing one feature,

could also keys be excluded similar to ammo, I already was using mod which changed colors based on location, now this one is overriding it.

If you can it will be excellent

    • Yes I can add a toggle for those

      Heart 1
    • Latest version has config options for this, thanks for the suggestion
