Kawaii Weapon Mods 1.0.4

Existing weapon mods with retextures added in new shops

Information:
Adds 2 new traders that sell a heap of existing weapon mods with different retextures. Each with there own flavour.

ZERO: Will have mostly Camo weapon mods, a bit of red or the more tactical and cool look approach to guns.
KYUUTO: Will have all of your anime needs, pastel colours and more cute designs.
Seperated for convenience.

Installation:
Simply download the file from the link and extract it into your /User/Mods folder. Easy.

Configuration:

The config file allows you to choose which items to appear in the trader list, simply change the value to true/false and it will show or not show in the trader sell list.
(may help with the overloading issue if some are set to false)

    • You can switch to a smaller number of categories in another merchant first,and then click on that merchant,which can slow down the loading time of the module so thhat the game does not crash suddenly.

  • After installing the mod and opening their screen, the game crashes!

    • It crashes due to the amount of icons being generated when you open the traders the first 2-3 times... Just don't open the trader anyways, no need... Just get the attachments from the modding menu when youre editing a gun preset...

    • I put it back in and so far it works fine, strange.

    • You can make it work with any item you want if you add it to the "Slots" filter in whatever item you choose :)

  • I put the mod in Serve/usser/mod,and the game ran and these two merchants appeared,but the stuff I bought from them didn`t display the model and couldn`t be equipped.

  • You should add the traders to Flea.

  • When I extract this into my user/mods and start the server it says the mod is missing the package .json

    Any fix or am i just messing it up

    • Have you tried any of these things?


      -Reinstalling the mod.
      -Clearing the temp files.
      -Starting a new profile.


      If none of these work, your download might of been corrupted and you might need to redownload the mod, so you can reinstall it.

      (If it's because of a mod conflict, then it's not my problem.)

  • I instantly crash every time i open up the trader inv

    no mod warning conflicts

    its not my hardware; i have a 3080, ryzen 5 5600x, game's on an m.2, 32gb ram

    I think the item previews are throwing too much loading data at the system and forces it to close or something. I used this mod over a year ago and it had the same prob, so im coming back with a totally new load order and new hardware and i have the same prob

    seeing the author's responses he seems a little too quick to blame the users' fault but i think its an optimization issue with the mod

    • I don't know anything on how to fix the optimisation, otherwise I would have done it already.
      I am by no means a wizard that can magically fix it and know whats wrong, everything I've done with this mod I've had to learn as I go along, and I'm surprised I even got it to this point, this is the first mod I've ever made for a game.
      I've tried a leveling system, splitting the traders, I've tested it on a SSD and HDD, and 100's of hours of typing, photoshopping, etc. I honestly have no idea how to stop the crashes, and I've reached out to others and they didn't know either. (so if theres a magic genie out there who does know, please tell me)

      So far, it works fine for me, with zero mods there is absolutely nothing wrong with it besides the initial first crashes when loading the parts. And I'm using a harddrive, rtx2060, 16g of ram and a i5-6600.
      And for others, they say it works fine to. So I am not to sure what your issue is. It could be your m.2, have your tried it on another drive?

    • Thanks for the input and context, interesting to know! I think ill see what I can do knowing this. Also wasn't aware this is your first mod, its very good for a first!

      In any case I like your mod it adds fun customization when i can get it to work, main frustration i had was not getting it to work *reliably*

  • Game crashing when trying to open any trader

    • Have you tried a new game? Have you tried clearing the cache? if you are getting crashes from opening the trader, and parts do not load, you have done something wrong, your profile is cooked from mods or its a mod conflict.

      I have steps on how to install it and its easy, it also explains why there could be crashes upon loading it for the first time. If you followed the steps correctly, then its more than like a mod conflict, or it could be the profile you're using.

      Youre likely on AKI version 3.7.3, there's a warning when you launch AKI server that says the mod is from an older version. Just gotta wait a bit I think

  • It seems that as of 3.7.1 the mod stopped working, I'm getting error related to getTables.


    • I got it to work i installed the previous version (the 3.6.x I believe) and it worked for me. then i installed the 1.0.0 again. hope this helps

    • I got it to work by moving around the initializers for the readonly fields. I moved them into the constructor (I declared them outside still just in case; I'm not a js dev, so I'm not sure if this part was necessary), and it worked fine.

    • Your issue is you're not high enough level for the flea market I believe. But even if it is a problem, I don't know how to fix it as I don't know much about coding.

    • I suggest installing SPT on a SSD. Otherwise, if installed on a harddrive you are going to have to wait until all the parts are loaded in, meaning the icon images for all the weapons and weapon parts when you open the trader, you have to let that load. It will take multiple times if installed on a harddrive. It takes once or twice on a SSD.

      Once it crashes, open the game again, load the trader and rinse and repeat. It helps if you dont scroll, and then the first lot is loaded, scroll down section by section.

      Its just a thing that happens with custom traders when having to many parts and it also depends on your hardware.

      Once they are all loaded in, you wont have to worry about it again as the game/profile remembers the parts the next time you open the game. If you start a new profile however, you will have to rinse and repeat.

    • They should appear, they appear for me. Do you have other mods installed? it could be caused by a mod conflict.

    • I do have other mods installed. I'm unsure which could be causing conflict since my launcher doesn't list this mod having any issues. I'll take the time to fix it on my own since you're probably right about the confliction. Much appreciated!

    • It should still be compatible even if it says it isn't. I changed the package.json to 3.6.x so it shouldnt do that, but still, should be fine to use.

    • Yeah you can, but it would take ages to do so.
