Kawaii Weapon Mods 1.0.5

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to v3.8.3. Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Existing weapon mods with retextures added in new shops

Information:
Adds 2 new traders that sell a heap of existing weapon mods with different retextures. Each with there own flavour.

ZERO: Will have mostly Camo weapon mods, a bit of red or the more tactical and cool look approach to guns.
KYUUTO: Will have all of your anime needs, pastel colours and more cute designs.
Seperated for convenience.

Installation:
Simply download the file from the link and extract it into your /User/Mods folder. Easy.

Configuration:

The config file allows you to choose which items to appear in the trader list, simply change the value to true/false and it will show or not show in the trader sell list.
(may help with the overloading issue if some are set to false)

  • YOUR GAME IS SUPPOSED TO CRASH WHEN USING KWM WHEN LOADING THE TRADERS!

    Sometimes it will only crash once, sometimes it can crash 20 times, and sometimes it won't crash. It depends on your hardware, meaning RAM, CPU, GPU, and whether or not it is installed on an SSD or a hard drive.
    I recommend having a minimum of 16g of ram, 6cores/6threads or higher CPU, 6g or higher GPU and make sure it's installed on a SSD.


    Some things that help with loading the mod to stop crashes.

    1. Open a KWM trader; do not scroll down; let the first lot of items load; if it crashes, open the game and select the same trader; do not scroll again; let the items load; when the items have loaded, scroll down one row at a time, letting each row load before you do the next row; this helps reduce stress when loading.


    2. Before opening a KWM Trader, go to any other trader and set the weapon parts and mods to vital parts, gear mods, or functional mods, as this will load fewer parts, which will reduce the game's stress to load the items.

    3. Once all the items have loaded, they will cache themselves so everytime you now log into your profile, they should already be preloaded which will stop the crashing. The crashes may return if you turn your computer off. (I leave my PC in sleep mode so it's never really off and never forgets the cached items)

  • Will there be any plans to separate the camo from the rest? Can i put ZERO but not KYUUTO? I love the camo but I'm not a fan of the anime and super colorful stuff.

    • No, there are no plans to seperate it.

  • first time installing this mod and followed the installation, says this mod version isnt compatible with this current version of spt, i also have fika installed version 0.9.8901, version of spt is 3.8.3

    • Do you have other mods installed? Some people have found fixes for KWM to work with Fika if you look through the comments, where as some people have said it works fine with no problems. KWM should also be compatible with any 3.8.x version.

  • I don't know if this is happening to anyone else but the "Kyuuto" trader crashes my game every time I open up her shop. I can get her items off flea and through weapon modding but is very tedious and was wondering if their was a small patch or fix anyone has found.

  • Hey maybe I am just lost since this has been the first time I have ever gotten this far in Tarkov, but in the workbench to edit a preset, once I use any of the kawaii attachments and go to buy them the game says they're not found even though I can just go and buy them outside the work bench, is this a bug or do I need to check off some box somewhere?

    • Maybe uncheck some of the stuff from the flea market that hides stuff, like owner type traders?
      It should appear in the flea market when buying the items through editing presets as it does for me.
      Possible mod conflict as well depending how many mods you have installed.

    • I don't have flea yet

    • this is common, there is a way to fix it but clicking cogwheel in buying list menu, and changing the dropdown menu to "any" but thats only if you have flea unlocked. so unlock flea and then use this method.

    • As I can see, the problem is the traders doesn't have their offers on the flea market, I run a flea banned wipe now, and it is not really a problem, just annoying to search every single item in the trader menu rather than build it as a preset, click assamble and buy there all i want. I hope you can and will fix it in the future. Btw great content, forward to see the gear content you have just promoted in one of the comments.

    • A mod that can fix this and also creates weapon presets to buy out of the weapon mods I've made is the Hephaestus mod. "link here - Hephaestus"
      Basically create the weapon in the Weapon editing screen, then save the weapon then it should appear in the Hephaestus trader, its a better way to make presets imo.
      It's been my get around for a while now.

  • Have you had any thoughts about making a "Kawaii Gear/Equipment Mods" mod?

    • I have, but I decided to just add them to this mod. I may go ahead and seperate it later, but I don't have enough retextures made yet to make it a seperate mod.

      I think it may be just due to the items being added and how it initializes with Fika. I was able to do the below fix and get the mod loaded in and the game launched with Fika, in case anyone else is needing it:

      - To perform the Bundle Fix, you need to copy any items from a mod that ADDS items (cosmetic, gear, weapons, etc) under the 'bundles' folder and paste them into the user\cache\bundles folder



      - For example, you open KAWAII WEAPON MODS under user\mods\KAWAII WEAPON MODS and open the bundles folder, copy everything inside of it, and paste it all into the user\cache\bundles folder. If it has a bundles folder, it should be done!

      Also another user by the name of "Yasumi" said he had 2 mods that conflicted with mine and as soon as he removed them, my mod worked fine on Fika apparently.

      Another thing, my mod will crash the first time you load a trader due to the parts loading in, if you didnt read the known issues part. If you haven't please read it.

  • Please ensure you are adding Custom Traders to the Trader enum. This can cause issues with people removing them, and also with other mods that interact with traders (as well as many other issues).


    Adding Custom Traders to the Trader enum was added as a requirement for 3.8.0

  • i love your mod but we notes a little problem when use it on Fika. There are errors about "Unable to find live-flea or handbook price for 66331731b03f60700d3fb495, defaulting to 1, if this is a modded item contact the mod author" not 100% sure if its a mod conflict but wanted to report that in. So far we saw all magazines are down to 1RUB and some handguards.

    • Yeah it's not compatible with Fika atm, I have uninstalled the game but I'll reinstall it today and do some updating on it and hopefully have it resolved in the next couple of days along with some new stuff added.

    Is it a commun issue that whenever I open the Kyuuto trader my game crashes trying to load the items ? it happens only with Kyuuto, zero is completely fine.

    • Yeah its normal since there's so many items, You can prevent it by doing what some of the other comments here recommend and go to a different trader and change the sorting method, so like "Sights" and then go to the Kyuuto Trader. Then go through each section itself to allow the items to load, and then you can go to the "All" Items section and it should be fine.

  • I'm unsure if its been posted here or somewhere else, but is there any chance of this being updated to be compatible with SPT Fika? When attempting to load them together, this mod crashes the the whole thing unfortunately. More of a curiosity thing since this works in normal SPT but I'd like to bring it into the Fika server since I like this mod a lot.

  • Good afternoon. If the game crashes when trying to view the assortment of merchants, then go on a raid 1-2 times. In the raid, you need to find modules for weapons from the mod. I did so and when I visited the merchant again, the error disappeared.

    • You can switch to a smaller number of categories in another merchant first,and then click on that merchant,which can slow down the loading time of the module so thhat the game does not crash suddenly.

    • It crashes due to the amount of icons being generated when you open the traders the first 2-3 times... Just don't open the trader anyways, no need... Just get the attachments from the modding menu when youre editing a gun preset...

    • is there a way to get the rem b33 receiver to work with more than just the troysnake gastube from the mod? doesn't seem to work with any of the vanilla ones which is a shame

    • You can make it work with any item you want if you add it to the "Slots" filter in whatever item you choose :)

  • I put the mod in Serve/usser/mod,and the game ran and these two merchants appeared,but the stuff I bought from them didn`t display the model and couldn`t be equipped.

  • Can you tell me how to make bots spawn without modules from this mod?
