Fontaine's Inspectionless Malfs 1.3.0

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.9.X
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Makes it so you don't need to inspect/examine malfunctions before clearing them.

Inspectionless Malfs:

Makes it so you do not need to inspect/examine malfunctions before clearing them. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.


If you want to remove the glow indicators for malfunctions, it's in the setting's "Game" tab.


To install, simply put the .dll file into your BepInEx/Plugins folder

Known Issues:

If you spam the keybind for clearing malfunctions while reloading while having a malfunction your hands will freeze. Just don't spam the clear malf keybind while reloading and you'll never encounter this.

  • Hey there, I downloaded the realism mod, but I just want to use the Combat Stance mod. But my English is so poor, can you teach me how to set it up to enable only the Battle Stance mod

    • You can use with "J" on keyboard i think

    • Medical and trader changes of realism can be set up in its .exe file found in the mod folder, although if i remember correctly the combat stances require you to keep the recoil changes too.

  • Absolutely enjoyed this plugin solo and seen it was in the Realism mod. Is this no longer going to be updated?

  • Not sure if related to this mod or tarkov itself, but whenever I initially get a jam, the game stutters for just a moment

    • I've never noticed this myself, could be a different mod doing that or just on your end

    • It actually had to do with overheating. For whatever reason, my heat mechanic kept getting bugged and increasing drastically and jams resulting from overheat caused this.



      Disabling overheating in SVM seemed to fix it :thumbup:



      However, the issue didn't start until after installing this mod, so it might still be related. I'm not really sure

  • @Fonaine. Thanks so much for keeping your mods up to date. I noticed on the SPT-AKI Dev site that they specifically state that NO client mods (i.e. the .dll's in the \BepInEx]plugins directory) are backwards compatible, yet this one has not been need to be updated for several SPT-AKI versions now. Guessing that their statement is not entirely true?

  • I was messing around with this and noticed a weird easily replicable bug, if you ever attempt to reload while clearing a malfunction with this mod on or clear a malfunction while reloading IT WOULD lock up the animations and cause you not to be able to swap weapons or remove the weapons. I'm not sure if this an interaction from vanilla Tarkov but those actions are probably alot easier with this mod on.

  • I'm confused... version 1.0.6 for SPT AKI 3.4.1 doesn't actually have a dll file. Should I just use the previous version for SPT AKI 3.3.0?

    • Strange, I'll check the dl and reupload if the file is bad

    • That's really weird, either somehow I uploaded an empty folder and no one noticed or the .dll got removed at some point :S I don't think I have an old version so I'll have to rebuild it for old client, will do it tmw

  • I too have an empty plugin folder.

  • Every time I extract it the DLL disappears. Doesn't matter where it get's extracted to.


    The previous version of the mod does not have this issue.

    • That's nothing I can really help you with unfortunately, it's an issue with your PC and there are 100s of possible variables. I can assure you the download file contains the .dll, otherwise lots of people would have mentioned it to me. Reddit tends to be good for these sorts of software problems.

    • Oh yeah the dll file is in the folder, it just disappears when extracted, even when you just extract the dll by itself. How much did you change the file to update it to 3.2.5?

    • Nothing about the .dll's compiled code would have any affect on the issue you're having, updating this mod is just matter of changing the names of some class references. Like I said that's unfortunately an issue with your PC or how you're handling the file and has nothing to do with the mod.

  • Thank god for this mod. While it's realistic to look at what the issue is before you can fix it, it's so annoying to have to do it when you're stuck with a POS weapon.

  • Well, this is really good, but I kinda prefer some guns to be inspected first. Like the M4, SCAR or HK, look at the chamber first to identify the malfunction then clear it.

    I just don't like it when some malfunction like in pistol or shotgun, you need to inspect it first when it clearly seem that there is a bullet/slug case stuck at the extract kananotimpressed

  • Thank you so much for this. Honestly, this is the way it should be. So much time is wasted by having to inspect it before clearing it, which can be the difference between life and death in a fight.
