Makes it so FOV does not change when ADSing by default, and allows you to instead set the FOV change yourself. Includes Variable Zoom optics and toggleable zoom (like ARMA).

    • The ps-320 goes straight from 1-6 in real life just like how the Elcan Spectre goes straight from 1-4 in real life

    • Well, I understand the reason, but I find this scope itself very clean and a variable version would have been great. After all, it's a mod, not everything has to be real life.

      But it makes sense.

  • Hey I've been having an issue with the reticles, they are flickering in and out of view, I have the latest version of; SPT, This mod, Geffs red dot and scope overhaul, Amands graphics, Realism mod. I have tried turning off amands graphics and fucking around with the Anti Aliasing settings but nothing seems to work so far

    • I tried isolating the mod by itself and trying out the scopes but I had the same flickering issues.

  • I’ve been having an issue when installing this mod, assuming due to a conflict but I’m unsure which as of right now and wanted to comment to ask if anyone had similar issues,


    When i either enter a raid or attempt to use the firing range while this mod is installed, my character draws their gun at their hip but does not fully raise it, it points barrel down at the hip. The ammo readout from using a HUD mod reads like the mag at 0/0 and i become unable to interract with anything, movement and jumping becomes sluggish and unresponsive and no keybinds work, nor does walking away from the firing range remove this issue. I have tried with numerous weapons and the issue occurs across all of them (tested SR-25, AXMC, G28, AS VAL, M4 and MDRs)


    it becomes permanent till the game is closed forcibly and occurs once again if you try and enter raid/firing range while installed. If anyone has any info on what could be causing this it would be greatly appreciated while i troubleshoot!

  • Hello, Fontaine has encountered a problem, I have a very high sensitivity in the sights, more than 1x

    , when I change the sliders in f12, they do not work, namely the sensitivity

    • (I made sure I am using latest version of this mod and the right version of SPT, I tested it with just this mod by itself)

    • You did not install the mod correctly, read the install instructions tab, make sure server module is installed

  • Hi i've been experiencing this issue with my optics where its almost like the anti aliasing isn't rendering them properly so they practically phase in and out of reality. Is there some fix to this? I can't to find out what the issue is. Here's a video of it https://imgur.com/a/TuInG3v

  • im guessing not but would it be possible to scale eyebox with optic distance? closer the optic is the bigger the eyebox gets so no more giant black ring around your optic if you decide to have your scope a bit closer? i know optic reworked tweaked them a bit.

  • What are the vanilla equivalent of fov options in the "player camera ads fov". i want variable zoom but i dont want to have the fov changed, and figuring this thing manually will be a pain

    • Can't give you exact numbers, but probably 10% FOV decrease for non optics and about 20-30% with optics if I had to guess. But it doesn't need to be exactly like vanilla, do whatever feels good

  • For some reason a few days ago i started having an issue of my iron sights being broken
    weirdly enough only for AK rifles, it looked as if there was no rear sight attached, even though there was.

    After removing the mod the issue went away. Is there any more reliable way to fix it?

    • What does "broken" mean in this context? Saying something is "broken" is not helpful. It's like going to a car mechanic and saying "the car is broken" and expecting them to know what the issue is. Read the config and install instructions, or update the mod.

However, I encountered an issue while using another scope mod (SamSwat's Leupold DEVO scope). Specifically, the lower scope (initial 6x) locks at 1x when I press the magnification toggle key or scroll wheel. Additionally, when I open other scopes, the magnification of the lower scope synchronizes with the magnification of the other scopes. This issue disappears when I turn off FOVFIX. Do you know what might be causing this problem? If it can be fixed, that would be wonderful. Thank you very much, I really enjoy your mod.     • Perhaps there is a way to exclude the Leupold scope from magnification adjustments (keep the FOV outside the scope, but cancel its magnification adjustment) which might make things simpler? I'm just speculating.

    • I tried adding its item code to the ScopeTemplates.json, but it still has the magnification issue. When I turned off the scroll wheel adjustment for magnification in the F12 configuration page, it became effective. However, doing so also prevents other scopes from using this mod.     • You set it up wrong. Use values from a similar scope, you set the D-EVO to be variable optic when it isn't in real life. Beyond that compatibility with other mods is not something I am going to help with

  • Using Realism upon installing the fov fix 2.1.6 (also happened in 2.1.4 when I tried to start using it) I'm getting the following error being spammed in the console all over;

    It is impossible to pull out your weapon with it (making it appear as it's out with 0/0 ammo, the gun doesn't appear), nor open the esc menu, meaning the only way is closing the game, and eventually removing the mod given it happens every time. Any idea on what could be causing it?

    • Gun and weapons are removed from the hand and no button works except movement. esc dosent even work so need to turn off tarkov and restart.

  • Hey man. Not exactly sure what causes it but I'm no longer able to go ADS.
    The weapon freezes in place (mid air) while holding RMB. Releasing the key teleports the weapon back in hand.
    I've tried toggling all available options in F12 menu but nothing seems to work.
    I've tried with and without different mods but that doesn't do anything either.
    All "related" keybinds in the Vanilla game have been changed or removed but that doesn't help either.
    I don't know if there's anything else I can test atm.


    Love this mod and was pretty annoyed/sad when I saw that this mod causes the weird issue after some trial and error with moving mods in and out of the SPT folder (to see wchich mod causes the issue).

    Edit: I'm on SPT 3.9.8 and Mod version: 2.1.4 (I'll be testing older versions in the meantime).


    Edit 2: Version 2.1.3 seems to work as intended.

    Edit 3: And here's why you should double check what version you download... the current version Explicity states that it is for Realism only, which I do not have... Maybe that's why I had those issues..

    • Same thing on a 2.1.5 ver. Pistol with collimator worked fine, AK with ironsights broke. Maybe it is incompatible with mod 'Hand Are Not Busy', do you have it?

    • Not yet, I'm still in the middle of testing and adding mods as I was planning a new 'playthrough'.
      The previous version works without issue for me atm.
      Edit: I have the hands are not busy mod and it's not that. Do people play with Realism or Not?
      I don't so that's what caused the issue from what I could tell!

    • Same happened to me and my character was able to walk away and my weapon was frozen on the spot I left it. I also have the (Hands are not busy) mod loaded then when I click the RMB again I snap back into place!

    • yup, this update broke my game, I had to delete the mod to make it work again..

    • To play like vanilla Tarkov you don't install any mods...

    • There's no point since BSG introduce variable optics with patch 0.15. I will just do my best to make them less shit when SPT 3.10 is released

  • Toggle zoom on hold breath is not applying the sensitivity multipliers for toggle zoom. Is this a bug or is there another setting that prevents this from applying?

  • So the issue I have is that some of the optics start their zoom at 2x instead 1x now, I'm still troubleshooting what's causing this and it might not be related to FOV fix at all, but starting here seemed logical. Does anyone else have this issue?

  • running into an issue where, when I adjust zoom with RazorHD, Vudu, Tac30, scopes, they don't click to the next zoom level, it just clips instantly with audible sound or the animation that shows the player adjusting zoom.

  • is it supposed to not work with the ELCAN ?

    • Does the Elcan have variable zoom in real life?

    • Elcan isn't variable zoom optic, it's only 1/4X.

  • is possible to zoom smoothly by using mouse wheel ?

    • you'll have to reduce the zoom steps for scroll, but then you'll be scrolling for longer

  • I installed this mod because I wanted to try out the variable zoom feature in this version of Tarkov 0.15.


    I was pleasantly surprised to find that this mod was able to implement the “hold your breath and the screen zooms in so you can quickly see that you're holding your breath” feature I was thinking of.
