My game progress has been refusing to save across the board. Both 3.1.1 and 3.2.0 for me have consistently refused to save progress once the server is shut down. I always close the game and launcher before doing so.

3.2.0 is especially weird, considering it's a completely fresh install. The only thing I did was install it and boot up the game, move a few items around, then leave and shut the server down. Once booted back up, it completely resets progress back to when the character was first created as if it were a fresh wipe, replacing the items in their original order from the Escape From Darkness Edition.

This is the same exact symptom I experienced on my 3.1.1 SPT client, which deleted my entire 6+ hours of progress the moment I shut the server down to go to bed, which I realized in the morning when I booted it up again.

  • No client log file means it's highly likely the game does not have write permissions in the folder SPT is installed into.

If you move your SPT folder to somewhere like C:/Games/spt, does it fix it?

  • I have tried moving the game into Program Files along with the Battlestate Games folder that my copy of Tarkov resides in, and it's now denying the fact I even have a copy of EFT.

  • It seems that moving the game to Program Files and deleting config.json was a suitable fix, it's no longer giving me the same symptom I was experiencing throughout both versions.

I'll be sure to try some stuff regarding mods and actual progression later today, but it seems to be in working order now.

    Thank you!
