I've tried a search on google, the FAQ, and on this support forum, but I can't seem to find the answer.

I know that a legit copy of EFT is needed in order for SPT-AKI to be installed. However, once installed and working correctly, does the live version of EFT still need to be on your system, even if it's a separate install? I have limited space on the laptop that I am playing this on, and hate that there are two copies of the same game on my drive. Am I able to remove the live version without bricking my SPT install?

  • The only issue I can see is if you use the BSG uninstaller to remove the live version, as this may remove user settings and registry keys. If you only want the SPTarkov version installed I'd manually delete the live folder so you leave the rest untouched.

I'll give it a shot. If it doesn't work, I'll just have to re-install. I'll let you know.

  • Heads up, this does not work. Even if you don't touch anything but the live folder, SPT will tell you there isn't a copy of EFT installed. Hope they can change this in the future to where once everything is working you no longer need live installed as well, but until then looks like we have to have both.
