Cinematic Music Pack 1.2.0

Cinematic music with tension in it.

I have rewritten the music player so that it reloads 5 random songs at the start and 5 random songs at raid end from the custom music folder.

This should keep load times low if you have lots of music in the folder. It does take a couple seconds longer to see the raid end screen since i have to re-cache songs.

The songs on here are pretty varied but they all provide cinematic tension to it... a dark vibe to it.

To install:

1. Unzip to your SPT/Bepinex/Plugins folder.. If you installed correctly, you will see a folder called CustomMusic. Within the CustomMusic folder, place any additional songs you want in the music folder within.

I had to put this on google drive since its a large file 100mb file.

  • Version 1.2.0

    SPT 3.8.0

    - Updated Custom Music Player to play music in hideout. If hideout volume is too loud, use the hideout volume setting from in game options.

  • Version 1.1.0

    1. Minor update to the player allowing for users to specify the amount of songs to load on Game Start and Raid End.

    - it is randomized still from whatever mp3 files you have in the music folder
    - i decided not to split up the player so sorry in advance of you having to download 100mb again.

  • Version 1.0.0

    Updated zip for double loading

  • Is it still working on 3.9.+ ?

  • hello! thank you for A) this incredible compilation of music and B) the custom music mod code whatever that makes the variety feel more... varied lol. Was curious if there was any logs or ways to tell what songs were chosen to try and narrow down which one is playing.

    Happy 1
    • It will show the song names if you enable the debug console, but i don't recommend that.

  • Confirmed that this is still working on 3.8.3! Thank you for such an underrated mod. kanabear

  • hello! is the difference between 1.1 and 1.2 version is only the music played in hideout?
cuz I just want it off in hideout haha
could you add the config option to turn it off/on in hideout? if it's not too bothersome for you.
    thanks for reading!

    • Yeah that is the only difference. just use version 1.1 then

    • thanks for the reply! but the google drive link is expired and I couldnt find it on github as well

  • I never seem to get random songs, it's always the same at the start and then it continues without a shuffle.
I have over 40 songs in there, do you know what could cause this?

    • Try using the latest custommusic version from the link on the right for my github.

      check releases

  • Hey I think this would fit this mod quite well :))

    PERTURBATOR - Corrupted by Design

  • Mate! Fantastic. Love this and your choice of tunes is great. Do you make the tunes yourself? thank you.

    • I didn't make them. I just spent some time finding them. thanks. :D

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Love it. Thank you xx

  • Hey Props Had a question could the music player possibly be patched to play music from the Hideout radio? Was hoping I could replace the Geneburn song on there with my music.

  • Running into a weird thing where there's a big old bunch of quiet between each song that plays. I'm trying to run just one song, and I put in 5 copies of it, since turning the random number of songs to 1 just breaks the game.

  • i tryed to change the songs, but after that the game dont load anymore, it stucks at loading profile data.. even when im try to install an prepacked music pack its still.
only removing the mods solves this, any idea ?

    #edit:
    log says:

    :ModulePatch] random song: C:\SPT\BepInEx\plugins/CustomMusic/music\subzero.mp3

    [Info :ModulePatch] url: file:///C:/SPT/BepInEx/plugins/CustomMusic/music/subzero.mp3

[Info :ModulePatch] AudioClip: subzero.mp3, state: Loaded

    so seems fine

    • Probably outdated now. What version of spt are you using this on?

    • latest 3.7.6

    • it worked until i changed the songs agains some from me

  • It doesn't work for me for some reason. I checked correct paths, added my own music - nothing. I don't have any other mod that adds music
    3.7.0

  • I have the impression I hear a lot of the same tracks. I have at least 120 of them in the file, so I have the impression the RNG is not really on point ^^'
Otherwise, thank you for this awesome mod! It's really great :D

    Happy 1
  • Could you post a core for others to add music too since SamSWAT isn't going to fix his mod?

    • No, just download it and include the custom music player in your own pack? Remove/add songs you want. then link to my source and run a virus total.

  • damn, katana zero ost hits hard

    Happy 1
  • I could not load any songs except one into it. Checking logs in the console with ~ I see a lot of errors ""Music Name" could not be played. FMOD Error: An invalid parameter was passed to this function."

    • what kind of songs did you put in there and give me some example names that failed. I bet maybe it has wierd characters in it?

They have to be mp3 files as well

  • any way to get this custom music to appear in raid?

  • Thanks for this one homie I cant play without tunes.

    Thumbs Up 1
  • Thanks for the update! is there supposed to be a config file?

    • no config. press f12 ingame.

  • This doesn't seem to be working for me at all. I thought it was conflicting with AmandsGoofySounds since that is the only other audio mod I have but after uninstalling it it looks like that wasn't the issue. I also have my music volume turned up but all I get is the standard tarkov music in the menus.

Just for some added context, I just installed the mod and haven't added any music to it. I'm just trying to get it to play the music you provided.

    SPT: v3.6.1 EFT: v13.1.3.25206

Edit: I figured it out. I screwed up the folder structure by taking the .dll and "music" folder out of the "CustomMusic" folder and put them in the plugins folder instead of just unzipping it. Sorry, My mistake!

    Happy 1
    • Ok that's wierd. You put it exactly in your SPT folder so that it looks like this:

      <spt folder> / bepinex/plugins/CustomMusic/music?

Do you see a loading message in your bepinex log for dvize.CustomMusic?

      bepinex/LogOutput.log

  • I'm noticing that the custom tracks I put in aren't getting played, what are the restrictions for what can be played i.e format size length etc.

The tracks play on SamSwats main menu music replacer(but that mod is bugged after the first raid)

(NOTE: Your tracks play fine, but when I removed/replaced them with the ones I wanted it stopped working)

    • They just need to be mp3s

    • Yeah still not working after the update. It is getting loaded according to the bepinex log and I can't see any errors in it at all.

    • EURIKA!! I decided to use Audacity to convert the mp3's I was using to mp3's and it seems to work now! I'm wondering if the songs I had were another format but someone changed the extensions to mp3???

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Is there any way to configure the amount of songs that get loaded? Great mod btw.

    • I would have to change it from the code end. i could add it to a config menu but like the more songs, the longer it takes time wise.

      Thumbs Up 1
    • It would be a sweet feature, if its not too much to ask for of course.

  • I really like this Cinematic Music Pack, well done! 8)

  • I've never installed music but this just being "cinematic" feels quite up my alley. Time to test pepelaughing

    • I just got bored of tarkov music over and over. hope you enjoy

  • I liked it, thanks!
