  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS! 4 years ago when i first ever launched this game and found the modern SVDS i immediately got tingley about "WHERES THE DRAGUNOV?" and got quite disapointed when realized is none. dragunov is the sniper version of one of my top fav assault rifles the ak47 and ive loved it for 30 plus years lol.

  • does this weapon have a globals preset? still trying to figure out why this series of gun mods (wtt gun mods) are causing crashes with the shiny weapons airdrop mod (freezes the game when pulling a wtt weapon). just looking for solid answers here

    • It's not shiny weapons airdrop mod. One of our weapon designers actually runs that mod currently. Also, our weapons do have global presets. A clear sign that a weapon doesn't have a global preset is when you check it on the flea market and it's just the base frame of the weapon without attachments.


      There must be another mod conflicting.

    • What do you mean by "pulling a wtt weapon". are you moving it around in your stash or you found one in an airdrop

    • alright so i just ran into the same issue after opening up one of the sealed cases without any of the wtt mods in the config for shiny weapons, so it indeed isnt these mods or the shiny weapons mod (because i added more vanilla weapons to the list besides just the wtt weapons). unfortunately i cannot find the source of the issue, only that theres an error somewhere.

    • if the freeze/crash happened without any WTT mods installed, then i'm pretty sure it's not WTT mods causing the issue.


      What list are you adding things to. are you changing the list of weapons you can get from the weapons cases? because if so, don't do that. Shiny probably has special presets made and adds those presets to the weapon list.


      I'm running 118 server mods, which include Shiny's and WTT guns. i have not experienced the issue you are having and i also have not modified the sealed weapon cases loot list. my suggestion would be to rollback whatever you did and/or re-install shiny weapons.

    • Shiny explicitly stated in the description that you can add weapons to the list in the config, and said modded guns can potentially work so long as they have a global preset (wtt guns indeed have a global preset). So no, modifying the list itself wasnt the issue, the problem i believe was that i added pump action shotguns to the semi shotguns list (there isnt a separate list for pumpies).


      Shiny's mod is very modular, you yourself should take a look into the json file and youll see what i mean.

    Guns all look too clean in this game, but your excellent textures bring life to it. I would love to see these kind of "spray can" worn textures across more weapons. Sure there's the "Painter" mods but it's all too clean. I love the beaten up and scratched paintwork you have implemented in the SVD.

  • Do these variants work for the Punisher quest?


    And do your custom weapons end up in the loot pools?

    • Incorporating this into punisher quest is on the radar. Currently it will not work with that quest.

      The same goes for Stirrup and any pistols we release. Standby.


      In terms of loot pools:

      I've seen some of our stuff end up in loot pools just by how SPT naturally works.


      However, we are not pushing anything to loot pools manually.


      This type of functionality will be incorporated in the main mod upon release, where all of our items will be balanced into the loot pools and bot loadouts accordingly.

      Interesting about the loot pools, so you might find a weapon or weapon part in a weapon crate? If that's the case does that mean that all custom modded items are automatically incorporated into container loot pools or something?

    • It's definitely possible. Just depends on how each mod adds in their items.

  • Sick mod, but the stocks may be broken with Realism patch. All the stocks except for the adapter have like +20 something recoil with the Realism patch, is this intended?

    • Thanks! Hmmm when I'm looking at the config of the patch I see that the vertical recoil is reduced slightly, but horizontal recoil is increased. I think our balancer made this similar to how other stocks act in realism. Looks like the stats are very similar to how the SVDs parts are.

    • Strange. I was building the SVD in-game earlier and I noticed that the wood stock have distinctly different recoil than the black and green one. I think the overexaggerated numbers are because I was looking at it when compared to the buffer tube adapter. When compared to the other polymer stocks, it seems like the wood stocks have the +/- recoil as you mentioned, but the polymer and green ones have + recoil for both parts.


      I just checked again and the wooden stock have a +5/+5 recoil, the two polymer ones have a +2/+8, and the buffer tube adapter by itself has -10/+3. So the end result is the conventional stocks have the flat + recoil, while the adapter is the only one with like -60/-20 something recoil when stacked with the AR stocks and grips, which seems wildly out of balance to me.

    • The stocks are exact copies of the svd-s stock, bar the wooden stock which gives a little bit more ergo. The buffer tube adapter should have no stats at all

      Also make sure your load order is correct and spt-realism loads after
      WTT-Armory-SVD, otherwise the patches wont be applied.
