Updated reticles with variable zoom

Some kind of variable zoom on EOTech Vudu, at least I tried. The biggest issue - you can't switch back for example from 6X to 4X, you'll have to cycle again through all magnification values - 1X, 1.5X, 2X etc.

  • Hi, I'm having an issue. I installed the FOV Fix & Variable Optics mod by Fontaine, but the zoom remains at 1-1.5x. What can I do to fix this? (I'm using AKI 3.9.0)

    • Solved it by going into the settings (F12) and scrolling down to find the compatibility function for the Vudu optic.

  • And how to switch the multiplicity? It costs in the game settings, but it does not switch in the game

  • is This still works fine with SPT-AKI 3.7.6 ?

  • To anyone who still has problems with the scope zeroing itself as you change magnification levels, I have a hacky solution.

You need to manually override the Calibration Distances of the Vudu in the mod.js file. It is located at \user\mods\SamSWAT-EOTechVuduOverhaul\mod.js

Remember to close your server and client before doing this! Save the mod.js file when you are done.

    Add the the following lines:

    Code
    vudu._props.CalibrationDistances[0] = [
                50
            ];

What this does is lock the zeroing to 50 meters, its not great but I prefer to aim higher for a longer shot than have the scope zero itself and me having to aim lower.

If you want, just copy the following code block and replace it with everything in the mod.js file

    • This worked for me as well. Thanks bud, great work! :)

  • This works perfectly fine still with SPT-AKI 3.7.1

  • I've downloaded this as I wanted the reticle change to be present in my Vudu scopes I'm running. However, when running this with Fontaine's FOV Fix and having the compatibility enabled, when zooming in, the evlevation increases as I zoom in. I don't want that, and there isn't any obvious option in the FOV fix Bepin menu that disables this, sometimes I need a zoom in to see where the enemies are, I don't want to add an extra uneccessary step to the process when I can already do it myself manually. And yes, my elevation change keybind is different from the FOV zoom in/out keybind, even changing zooming in/out to my keyboard still changes the elevation

    • Here's a quick video demonstrating the "problem" I have

    • hoping for a fix on this issue as well! btw you know if you click on that red error pop-up bottom right it goes away? took me a while to figure that out myself lol

      Thumbs Up 1
    • Having the same problem on my end, tried switching around the keybinds but it seems tied to the magnification levels themselves instead of any keys and its only for this scope

    • @Wolfxskull yes I do know that clicking the warning makes it go away, I just didn't for this video since I just wanted to quickly record my problem and get back to what I was doing previously

    • can confirm aswell this only happens on the vudu

  • Please update it, really want to use it with Variable Optics

    • So you didn't even try it before demanding it be updated. It works just fine with SPT-AKI 3.6.1, and it is compatible with [Fontaine's FOV Fix & Variable Optics]

  • Does this still work with 3.6.1?

    • Have you even tried it? It works just fine with SPT-AKI 3.6.1, and it is compatible with [Fontaine's FOV Fix & Variable Optics]

    • Yup I've been using it for a couple weeks now, so far so good

  • This is such a great mod, thank you!

How can I get this to work with Fontaine's SPT Realism mod? Right now, at least on a m4 the recoil feels like I'm hitting myself in the face with the scope.

    • I've come to find out it works fine except for one configuration I had. If I ever figure out what I did and what caused it, I'll post again.

  • Hello. Any plans on updating this mod to 3.1.1? Thanks

  • anyway you could make the overzoomed scopes less zoomed?
1x - 6x would be amazing for them and then I'd actually be willing to use them. xD

    Love ya work!

  • BSG needs to implement a system like PUBG where you can zoom in an out LPVO style by holding a key and scrolling up or down. Really simulates LPVO optics such as the VUDU perfectly while also being very gameplay friendly :nikitathinking:

  • I love the idea, but a 2.5x in between the 1x and 6x would be sufficient imo. This is a lot to cycle through all the time.

  • If it's not too much of a hassle, could you make a new mod that adds a 5x variable to the high power optics? Such as the 3-24X42 scope that only has a 14x, could you add a 5x to it as well?

  • Would it be difficult to customise the mod, say I only wanted 2x and 4x leaving out the other levels.

    Thanks

  • Great Mod  !!

is compatible with version 1.5.1 as well?

  • Interesting animethinking

  • Hey man if i wanted to remove some of the options and just have 1.5, 3 and 6 how would i go about doing that?

  • Thanks, amazing for big maps and works perfectly for me
