Lets you mount more stuff on the backup mount

A mod that lets you put some more stuff on that neat little backup mount.
You can choose what kind of attachements you want to allow on the backup mount in the config.


Fin told be about an issue with bot generation that might be caused by this mod.

THIS SHOULD BE FIXED IN THE NEWEST VERSION SO BE SURE TO UPGRADE AND PLEASE REPORT BUGS WITH THE MOD!!!

  • I'm still getting bot generation errors

  • This mod still causing bot to not spawn with FAIT 1.24.4a, I use SPT-AKI 3,2,2 and AllTheBackupSights 2.1.0. ;(

    • I'm suggesting a workaround because it appears to work on my end. Essentially there is a way you can mount stuff you want without the mod installed during the bot loading process.

      1. Install this mod
      2. Load the game, make the weapons you need and save it as a preset
      3. Exit the game, delete the mod
      4. Launch the game. You'll find that you'll still be able to build the presets that you made when you still have the mod installed, including the backup sights and backup mounts placed where it's only possible with the mod installed.
      5. Try a raid and see if the bots load. It did on mine but it was one run in Factory.

      Granted I've seen bots carrying guns I made in my presets, but that was before I had this mod ever installed. Regardless it's something you can try.


      Also I made sure the following is set to true in zzFin_AITweaks\config\config.json, just to make sure no issues pop up with MacrossMX's armory mod:

      (Or, you know, use the FAIT configurator like a normal person (I just found out there's a configurator lmao))

  • SWEET mod. Now that you made it possible to replace iron sights maybe down the road allow for iron sights to be applied so we could potentially have our regular optics and a side mounted iron sight back up for thermal users or whatever. None the less, great job.

    • Not possible right now as iron sights do not properly function as backup sights.

      1. Iron sights get folded with any scope attached even if the iron sights are in the backup slot.

      2. Even if the iron sights are folded up and are usable the weapon does not appropriately tilt for the iron sight. Some assault scopes / optics / thermals also have this issue where either the camera of the optic does not tilt or the weapon does not tilt.

      As long as I do not know how to fix this Iron sights cannot be implemented. Believe me I tried.

  • Mod seems to be causing bot generation issues, unsure precisely why

    • In another TEOA mod (AWM) they mentioned to download the latest 3.2.2. SPT-AKI. Did you try that already?

      Curious myself because browsing this at work and I REALLY need this mod. Also I'm using Fin's AI.


      FYI my theory is that the AI loader generates inventory stuff so adding/removing things from the pool might cause that.

    • Have 3.2.2. Still getting weird issues.

    • Apparently caused by using item categories instead of item ids will fix as soon as i get home tomorrow

  • Any chance you could add the option to mount normal optics to that Backup MPR45 slot? Some weapons mount the optic so close to the users face I have in the past been able to modify this through other mods like Alex-AIO. But since 3.1 the mod structure has changed and I'm unfamiliar with the code arguments and format. All I want to do is throw the optic options into the MPR45 slot.


    I can see that you define the mount, then define the optic tables, then allow those items. but how do you say those tables can be used in the mount slot?
