LOOK AT COMMENT PINNED to see where to update Tarkov's DLSS

I know a lot of you probably are too lazy to look this up on your own but replacing the DLSS actually makes it less blurry so its usable now.

This mod is for people who forget to do this for each new spt tarkov version that comes out.

LOOK AT THE COMMENT PINNED

I don't have the code for this as its proprietary but see the virus total scans for the included zip.

Also the dll is digitally signed by nvidia (i can't fake that)

Installation

1. Unzip to your spt-aki installation folder (where you see the server launcher) and then it should prompt you to overwrite the nvngx_dlss.dll file located at:

\SPT-AKI\EscapeFromTarkov_Data\Plugins\x86_64

  • NVIDIA DLSS DLL 3.1.11 is out at the tech powerup.

Or if you guys want to try DLAA for sharpening only (So no blurry dlss), you can use the injector here:

    https://github.com/emoose/DLSSTweaks

You will still need newest DLSS.

Go to releases and in the text it will give you a link to nexusmods. You'll be directed towards a witcher3 DLAA mod where there is a zip file underneath the witcher3 one for any game. Download that zip and c do the following:

    1. Run the DisableSignatureOverride.reg so that windows will recognize the change without dxgi

    2. Drop the dlsstweaks.ini file and the nvngx.dll into main SPT folder (next to escapefromtarkov.exe)

    3. configure the dlsstweaks.ini with these option changes

    - ForceDLAA = false

//find DLSSQualityLevels section and replace the values as I listed. Means you can use any DLSS option and setting to use DLAA at fullquality
    - Enable = True
    - UltraPerformance = 0.99
    - Performance = 0.99
    - Balanced = 0.99
    - Quality = 0.99

then find DLSSPresets and change them to

    - DLAA = F
    - UltraPerformance = F
    - Performance = F
    - Balanced = F
    = Quality = F

    4. Boot up SPT Tarkov and if you did it right you will see a new dlsstweaks.log file in there.

    Trust, its worth.

  • Staff note:

The file's SHA1 checksum matches the 2.4.13.0 version dll that's downloadable from here - so it checks out.

Usually we do not allow for file replacement mods on this website, but an exception is being made for this specific upload.

I've updated the "Source Code" field to link to the TechPowerUp page where all the downloads for various versions of Nvidia DLSS are located.

    • I had no any benefit from DLSS on this game so.

    • Most of FPS loss is from AI logic in this game. Those of us with older computers will get some fps back with DLSS though.

    • Ok I've just downloaded this mod for curiosity and tried on different DLSS settings, nothing much changed tbh or maybe it's just me so dunno... (Specs: RTX 3080 4K monitor and 5900x with 32 gb 3200 mhz ram)

    • You would probably get more frames with DLSS at 4k but otherwise you have a high-end system so you probably wouldn't see improvements.

      (i'm on a 3900x and 2080 super)

  • Preset F is not suitable for fast paced games, it has too much ghosting, rather use preset C.

  • i highly recommend doing this

  • NVIDIA DLSS DLL 3.1.1 is out at the tech powerup.

Or if you guys want to try DLAA for sharpening only (So no blurry dlss), you can use the injector here:

Goto releases and grab the latest version. Remember to read the instructions on how to use dlss tweaks.

Believe you still need to install DLSS 3.1.1 before you try the DLSS Tweaks

  • BTW there is a newer version in the link to the right for source on tech power up:

    2.5

Just use the link to the right as its a reminder and i will update this pinned post only if there is a new version - not upload a version to here.

  • Is it possible to count on something similar but with FSR 2.0, unless of course it is added in the next update.

    • Sure, but probably no need as you'll be getting the latest and greatest FSR 2.1
