    Continuing on from the mod thread, forgot support threads even exist. The only feedback I get from getting hit is the grunt, no aim punch, sounds, nothing. I'm going to start from scratch and readd mods one by one. Oddly though, I'm running the exact same set of mods I was prior to updating to 3.7.4. I'll report back with any findings.


    EDIT: Nevermind. Figured it out. SPTR is good to go. Turns out Visceral Dismemberment and Bodies causes big issues with bullet and body interactions in 3.7.4. Seems it disabled the physical bullet itself, leading to the game registering damage but not thinking you actually received a hit.

    I love your mod, but it seems like the buy and sell prices of the Scav Box are wrong.

    Therapist sells them for ~250k and I can sell them back for ~750k

    Christmas makes everything 40% off but doesn't affect sell price. I will release a hotfix to make disabling Christmas in spt config work properly. Right now either disable randomized prices or increase the "randomized price discount" and "randomized price increase values".

    I don't mean to be inflammatory but I guess frustration came through my post, as Andrew said I've dealt with this topic dozens of times.


    Thousands of people have observation bias when it comes to headshots/head-eyes in EFT/SPT in general and I explained how and why it's indeed observation bias and how it applies here too. I guarantee you when the new wipe drops people will be making near identical comments about the armor zones as they are made about Realism's since they'll function essentially identically.


    As I've said I've spent dozens of hours testing the armor zones in the past including when complaints were raised about something being wrong with it. What more detail is there to add? I've had people in the past say things like "always get one tapped in the chest" and when I ask them to elaborate it turns out they were exaggerating massively and misunderstand how armor hitzones work. No offence but comments like saying it's unusual for a slug to take off a lot of chest HP despite wearing X class of armor makes it sound like you misunderstand how the armor hitzones work.


    I doubt there's any particular mods that will completely break the ballistics or armor, beyond adding new armors that will only have chest protection. I don't have the time to ask everyone who has issues that may or may not be a thing for their mod list to check for incompatibilities.


    Like I said I've addressed this topic dozens of times as you can see in the support thread, and I'm taking time out of my day to write this.

    How do armor zones not explain this? This is why I get really frustrated.

    6 shots isn't tanking when you're hitting them in the armor for the majority of those shots.

    Then why is this a mod issue, why is it my issue? I've played live since alpha and I can't recall scavs tanking rounds that wasn't desync or me me whiffing shots, or hitting stomach and arms.


    I can't take every incident of someone being frustrated about dying in a hardcore game seriously when there are thousands of such comments made while playing live, SPT and Realism. Either you have to carefully consider if it's an issue with your gameplay, or you have to believe that there's something fundamentally bugged with EFT in general at which point it isn't my problem.

    Possibly, but still seems weird for it to happen not only so often but to at least 2 people with different mod lists and p[lay styles.

    Observation bias. You see people on the EFT subreddit claiming every death is a headshot without taking into account probability or statistics. If you record every death in live with the body part, you may find that the majority of deaths were from headshots. This completely ignores every single shot that was stopped by armor, hit legs, arms and chest that weren't fatal. So in reality headshots are in the minority of shots that hit you. The same observation bias is happening here but for the chest. You're ignoring every time you're hit in the armor, arms, stomach or legs.


    Surely this observation "sometimes my armor helps this, but other times it does not" explains it perfectly?


    "I've worn (what the mod considers) class 6-7 armor and had 80% of my thorax taken out by a pen20 something slug from a scav." That's completely normal and expected due to armor hit zones.


    Armor plates cover a relatively small portion of the body, it's very easy for rounds to not hit any armor at all and 1-2 shot you. There's also a neck hitbox that's basically instant death. There isn't any issue or bug here, it's working as intended.


    Bots in PACA armor can't tank 5.45 BP. 5.45 BP does 64 damage, standard bots (PMCs, Scavs) have 120 chest HP. If you hit the bot dead centre in the chest it does double damage so would be an instant kill. If you hit the bot relatively centre it's a 2 shot kill. If you whiff your shots hitting off to the side, stomach or shoulders then you're doing 70% damage, so 3 shot kill in this case. Now consider for a moment if your aim wasn't on point or you hit them in the arms and stomach a few times, it'll probably be closer to a 5 shot kill.


    I've never seen bots tank intermediary calibres (5.45, 5.56) in all my testing when the armor they're wearing is of a low rating. I've gone out of my way and spent time in the past testing to make sure there aren't bugs or wrong armor values.


    My only suggestion to you is to make sure you understand how armor hitzons work by checking the overview page, and either analyse your gameplay and carefully consider if the that's the cause or just disable all the ballistics changes. But these armor hitzones are coming to EFT proper so you'll have to get used to this.

    Status report on the infrequent 90° aim bug thing:

    After ~80 hours into versions of this mod after the initial bugfix I haven't had it occur once, which is the longest time without it as far as I can recall. Before the fix it was approximately once per 20 game hours (more frequent when counting only in-raid time but I didn't keep track of that).

    You have a lot of mods, the first thing to do before seeking support in these situations is to try Realism by itself, if it runs you have a mod conflict.


    alright, this is gonna take a while, also for some reason the SPT Launcher doesn't detect my profile mods, which is a bit strange

    It sounds like you have issues with SPT itself, you should look for general support in the forums or on the discord.

    If you want support you need to provide details, like what other mods you have installed (the full list, nothing left out), SPT version, Realism version, config options etc.

    The latest versions of SPT made it so that PMCs do not have FIR items on them to simulate live, I do not know if there's anything I can do about it or if it's a config option

    I knew is was intentional but it's kinda weird to neutered an ultra-expensive item to uselessness. Not to mention that you can't see the laser when using point firing which defeat the purpose of it.

    You asked why you can't use it that way as a support question, but you also knew it was intentional? Please leave feedback in the comments as this is for issue/bug support. The appropriate way would be to simply ask "hey can we get a config option to allow the use of sights with thermals?" like Andrew did.


    I will add an option for it whenever there's a new version of Realism.

    I COULD HAVE SWORN I downloaded the LATEST version, but I have 0.14.4, the one before the 2 patches lmao. I JUST missed the patches. Let me get updated and test.


    Edit 1: I updated and it still does the recoil thing. However, it is indeed a mod conflict or what have you. Is the recoil system based on weight? I have a mod that has a rig to make my weight negative and only after putting it on or in my inventory (thus making my weight negative) does the "Bug" start. Haven't tried to recreate the 90-degree bug yet.

    I completely reinstalled SPT and just Installed the Realism mod. I believe it was working fine the first 2 raids I saw no errors. I went into the realismmodconfig.exe so I could revert the med changes. Ran in again it was fine the first raid but a second raid in I got the error again. The first Screenshot is from the mod left as is. Second is from me reverting med changes. Not sure if this helps but all my SPT has is Realism mod I haven't even placed in the Amands graphics yet.


    No problem man thanks for looking into it anyway. I'll try a completely fresh install of everything see if that fixes it, if not ill go back to the old version which was working. Love the mod so not gonna play without it.

    I was in woods when I got the error, I’m lvl 20 and it was day time. Hope that helps

    Hi, I get this every other raid or so. It just prevents scav bots from spawning, PMC bots do spawn and some scav bots spawn at later times but not as many as normal. Only mods I have is SAIN with all its requirements and SPT Realism but with med changes reverted. it actually spams that bot and its level like 100 times before it gives the error not sure if that helps. Any help would be appreciated and thank you again for an amazing mod!


    Reinstalled the mod this morning. Using the latest version, still getting the error.


    The logging where it says the bot name and level should not be appearing on the released build. I downloaded and installed the latest release to confirm that these errors are not happening and that logging is not occurring. Where did you download the builds from? Did you try redownloading and then reinstalling?

    Those errors are harmless and not to do with the issue you described. Please try the mod by itself before reporting issues.
