No No Zone 1.4.2

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to 3.10 or if they can upload older versions of their mods.
Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Tired of bots grabbing your ass as soon as they spawn? Now you can prevent them from spawning on top of you by setting a distance in the bepinex menu (configurable).

Instructions

  1. Set a minimum distance needed to spawn value in the Bepinex Config Menu (F12 Key) it is 20.0 by default.
    Set this before you start a raid.
  2. Go in raid and shoot things. You guys can't see the debug log but if you do, it will list the name and roletype of the bot that was unregistered /removed.

    • it probably won't work for special spawning mods like swag + donuts so i probably won't

  • Thank god, I hate doing something, say on customs.


    I clear out two scavs including the sniper scav by military checkpoint, 3 scavs run after the shots, so I kill them, then i wait for like a solid 2-3 minutes to wait for any stragglers, then I have pmc and scavs bum rush me from repair shop.


    Another time is when I was surrounded by scavs near bus terminal, had to kill 8 scavs, chased down a pmc that came from skeleton where he blacked out my limbs, so I loot his stuff and hobble back to bus terminal where I've since killed everyone around 5 minutes ago and theres two scavs just sitting waiting for me one with slugs and one with the single shot rifle, was insanely dumb.

  • Does this work with 3.5.8? I hate bots spawning near me then clapping me while looting.

  • Does anyone have any representation of how far distance is in this? I wanna know how far 20 is actually so I can set it correctly in factory to what I want.

    • You can use the range finder to check the distance, on the larger maps (everything except) factory I use a range of 80 so bots don't spawn near me when clear an area. On factory I'd recommend maybe 40 since it's pretty small compared to other maps

  • Wait...can this mod be used to make the bots only spawn close to you? I hate bots spawning 500+ meters away.

  • Newest version seems to have fixed most of the issues I had. Still need testing on more maps but so far so good. Nice work!

  • This mod never really worked for me. I always try this mod every time SPT gets updated but always ending removing the mod because I dont see any difference with or without. I will still get bots spawning next to me or very close to me in almost every raid. I leave everything on default (20m). I also play with maxed spawn location (48 bots per location and 5-10 bots per area), lua custom spawn points and realism.

    • sounds like there is something else since you have so many bots spawning.

      I'll have to look into it..

    • It might very well be something else, but in terms of mods that would interact with spawns only, SVM, realism, and lua custom spawn point. I also have many of your other mods like ai limit and many others.

  • I can see in the log that this works, at least sometimes, but for example in the last raid I was in the factory office, and a pmc literally spawned behind me. I turned around just to see him shoot me in the head. I had the spawn distance set to 40m, so how did that happen?
    Looking at the log, I can see it did prevent one from spawning in the same raid

    • hmm not sure. i'll investigate if it happens again.

      maybe i need to rebuild this.

    • I've played several raids since, and it's been happening repeatedly. Sometimes a bot will spawn in front of me, then disappear, checking the log shows that it got deleted by the mod, so that's fine, but other times it just doesn't do that.
      Could it be that when the bot gets aggroed it can't be deleted? In all occasions where one spawned in front or behind me and it started shooting, it never got deleted.

    • Maybe too many bots spawning? i don't know

    • I'm using MOAR with a 25 bots cap. The wave counts aren't too high that bots are spawning right after one dies. In factory I was playing with 7 scav waves spread over 60 minutes, there really isn't an abundance of bots that could cause the mod to be overwhelmed.

    • It's not this mod. I have MOAR and this and it's likely you messed something up in MOAR. If you fix it should fix the error. I can't remember how I fixed it but I've had to do it a few times. Sorry I can't remember.


      My bot cap is 50 and I get no errors and that's without AI limiter or disabler.

  • Would mods like Custom Spawn Points and/or SWAG prevent this mod from working correctly? Lately I've noticed spawns happening right next to me even on Woods, where my distance is set to 300.

    • No, those shouldn't. What is your spt version? and what version of mod are you using?

    • AKI 3.5.3 and NNZ 1.2.0, pretty sure.

      Hard to give more info when I'm mostly playing and not playtesting, but I had bots spawn in repeatedly just west of the power station on Shoreline, well within the 300m limit (was kinda fun sniping them as they appeared though). And earlier today on woods, had a couple spawn on the mountain with me after a few minutes spent sniping there, and later extracting to outskirts had two PMC's spawn basically on top of me as I was on my way to leave.

  • Going to give this a try as having bots spawn in the back pocket of my pants all the time is getting a bit annoying.


    Just one of many times, today had 2 PMCs jump out of my backpack and rip me a new one after I had just killed Sanitar and his guards near Sanitar's office in the sanatorium. I barely survived. Most other times I have died.

  • I'm curious on how this will work in dorms with BSP/NOOKY'S presets

    • Did it work or did you regret it?

    • Had no time to try it out yet :(

    • I ran a few tests with this and BSP/NOOKY, mainly Dorms on Customs.

      Before using it I have had bots spawn right next to me in while looting in hallway (both 3 story and 2 story).

      With this and default setting (20m) they would spawn down the hallway and not on top of me.

      - Marked room third story and they spawned a little past the stairs

      - 2 story first floor rooms (114?) with safes and they spawned by the stairs or floor above me.


      Might need more testing on say factory with increased spawn rates

  • Great work with this mod! One thing that has put me off about Tarkov is taking your time to strategically clear an area, then while looting a scav spawns in "VON VON VON" BANG!


    Default 20m is way too close. Should be at least 130m

    • That would make Factory basically empty. no?

    • I guess in the future release a per map setting would be great. I main Shoreline

    This seems like a great mod, and I'm not sure if this is the right place to put it, but here we go.

    When I install this mod, it breaks the AI, they dont move from their spawn points.

    I have other mods installed, including Swag Variety and Poops Variety.

    • Having the same issue, also have Swag Variety and POOP installed.

    • Give me a few to fix. need to recompile for 3.5.0.

      Thought i could get away with it while on next dev version.

  • Finally i can loot factory - office, without dying bcs someone spawned right next to me.


    MUST HAVE for small maps/areas.

    • Must have on all maps as far as I'm concerned. On Shoreline I cleared burning gas station, I move down and looted the beach. Meanwhile a raider spawns at burning gas station... he now has the high ground over me!
