The config attached in this mod makes enhancements alot stronger and the relevant values will be explained below

Configs

Under repair kits

"rarityWeight" dictates how common the buff tier is when you roll for a repair enhancement. (higher = more common)

For armor enhancement

"DamageReduction" value dictates how much less damage you take when wearing the armor while the repair enhancement is active

Higher = less damage taken.

Common tier

  • vanilla = 0.90-0.98 or 2% to 10% less damage taken
  • New config = 0.75-0.65 or 25% to 35% less damage taken

Rare tier

  • vanilla = 0.80-0.90 or 10% to 20% less damage taken

Under the skills section

These 2 values are set to 1 over the vanilla values to make the enhancement stick for the full durability repaired by the player.

"CurrentDurabilityLossToRemoveBuff"

"MaxDurabilityLossToRemoveBuff"

This values dictates how much the chance of rolling an enhancement on repairing with repair kits are

"CommonBuffChanceLevelBonus": 1.25 = This means every level in the skill increases the chances by 1.25% (I think)

  • can I set it so that even if I repair just 1 point of durability the enhancement will stick around until the armor break entirely?

  • idk if this is a stupid question but what is the "weapon damage" enchantment? does it increase weapon damage or do something to it and does it work? i cant really find any information on it and im guessing this is was not intended to be implemented.

    • I'm going to tag @Pettan here because I originally made this mod for him.
I just made this mod as a low level configuration at his request without really understanding what each option does.

I can however assure you with pretty high certainty that it is not there by mistake. IF I remember correctly the config is basically an excerpt of the entry in the server files. I only changed some formatting without adding anything to it.

    • Weapon damage does nothing. Its just datamined stuff. So I just turned it off in the default settings in the mod. Vanilla SPT also does the same thing since version 3.7.0.

  • Hello, can i increase armor durability through this config? If so how do i do it?

    • Also i found out that i can't buff armored chest rigs and helmets, is it supposed to be that way?

    • Oh sorry for the late reply. The system does not notify me when this mod gets comments because I'm only a co-author.

In the live game the armor buffs only apply to armored vests (PACAs, slicks, troopers) but not helmets. This makes sense as the skill behind it is also literally named heavy/light vests.

So yes it is intended behavior. And no you can't increase armor durability, thats not a list feature.

  • Everytime I repair anything the server stops responding. Game still runs but i get the infinite loading loop. Could this be caused by a mod conflict?

    • So turns out it was a mod issue. It was one of the custom weapons. I have another question now, what exactly does ReceivedDurabilityMaxPercent do? I've tried setting it higher and setting it lower and it doesnt seem to affect the max durability.

  • Really hope mod could be compatible with the ' realistic plate system' mod

  • Does this work for 3.5+? Specifically asking about 3.5.5.

    • It should work for 3.5.X, so yes it should work for 3.5.5

      Thumbs Up 1
  • How to instal?

    • Download the mod and it will be a .zip file.
Open the zip file and copy the folder into your user/mods folder.

      Then it should be installed

      Heart 1
    • as a normal mod user/mods .

    • Hah, thx!
