  • I've updated to the latest version of the mod, and the Squad Manager doesn't seem to be working correctly for me.

    I'm trying to use the /add command to add a follower, but the Squad manager keeps responding with "An error occurred while processing your command". I also get a simple "error" message in the server console.


    I've ensured /restrictions is set to off. I've disabled Follower Prefetch Data in the F12 menu. I currently have friendlyPMCs as the last mod in my load order.


    Any ideas what could be causing such an issue?

  • There should be an error right above that message. It could be the nickname you are trying, you should use Latin characters only.

    I've tried using "Omen", "Pilgrim" and "Dryad" for nicknames, as well as several individual letters.


    There is no actual error message popping up in the server console. Just the Client sending a request and then "error". The SquadManager chat also doesn't show any error messages beyond the one I mentioned previously.

  • Hmm, you can go to mods/friendlyPMC/SquadChat.ts and find "An error occurred while processing your command" and you will see that right above it there is this.logUtil.error(e). Change that to console.error(e) and then restart the server and try again to see if now the error will show up in the server console.

  • Yup, I accidentally mistyped! Here's the error that shows now that I've spelt it correctly:


    Seems like a conflict with APBS? Not sure why it would be happening in this instance though, previous versions of this mod worked fine with it.

  • Yea. Preventing equipment generation for the bot. Previous versions did not rely on the server side like this one is. I am moving as much as I can to the server side to reduce conflicts with all the other bots mod. Here I am simply calling "generate" bot and the fact that it is throwing an error would be an issue with how that mod is made.

    You can do this: disable that mod, add your followers, and set their equipment to other than "Default". Then you can put it back as their equipment will be saved and that mod will not longer be able to conflict.

  • i just installed the new update but I am friends with the new group recruit guy but I dont have him in my messages. I cant recruit any team mates


    all good! didnt see you can initiate messages i was trying through the bottom left tab instead of in chat!

  • first set /pickups to at least 1, then set /recruit on. Now, you can ask the bots you find to follow you (if they are of the same faction). If you extract successfully with them, based on their level compared to yours, you will get a friend request from them.
