The WTT team brings you the iconic 5.56x45 NATO light machine gun to Tarkov.
This project started as a collaboration between Choccster and the WTT team.
Over the course of the last several months, we have had some of the best talent on our team working on this weapon to make it look beautiful, sound powerful, and feel fun to use.
This project would not have been possible without the following , very talented individuals:
Choccster - Animations/Rigging - SPT weapon container modder who created the beautiful animations and rigged the weapon to the skeleton.
EpicRangeTime - Sound Design/ Attachment Creation - WTT's in-house attachment modder, also known for creating "Epic's All In One" which adds hundreds of unique attachments to the game.
GrooveypenguinX - NLA Baking/ Blender Exporting/ Tool Creation - One of the founding members of WTT, lead developer, and jack-of-all-trades who learned NLA Baking and proper exporting of the weapon container within Blender so that the process of implementing this weapon could move into Unity. Groovey is also known for developing the Punisher Boss mod - Rogue Justice, Small Cases mod, WTT- WAAC (the mod that adds women PMCs to Tarkov), WTT- Head and Voice Selector... and the list goes on. Most importantly, Groovey developed the tools that our team uses to make these crazy mods. Without that tooling, our project would be 1/4th of its current size in custom content.
Moloc - Balancing and Testing - WTT's in-house balancer who carefully balances all of our weapons, attachments, items, and equipment to ensure that they feel good to use in-game.
MoxoPixel - Texturing and Graphical Art - A master texturer and graphics artist who has all but mastered Substance Painter and Unity's material/shader systems. Known for the SPT Trader "Painter", as well as TGC - Tactical Gear Component, Mag Tape, and the "Core" mods, Moxo is responsible for creating WTT's logo that is used on all of our renders. He has also provided texturing for several of WTT's weapons, including doing the final pass on the M249 and its attachments.
Rexana - Sound Design and Texturing - WTT's weapon workhorse and my partner for new weapon container creation for the WTT-Armory mods, weapon sounds, and texturing. If it's weapon related, there's a good chance Rex has worked on it.
Myself - Unity Prefab and Bundle Creation - Over a year ago, I developed a passion for modding this game and formed WTT alongside the other co-founders of this project. I have put a majority of my time to working with adding custom assets - weapons, attachments, items, and equipment.
I can whole heartedly say that without all of the individuals above, this would not have been possible.

What is Welcome To Tarkov?
Welcome To Tarkov (WTT) is a mod for SPT AKI that has been in development for over a year. What started as a small passion project has grown in size to incorporate 10+ core members as well as contributions from other well-known mod authors and friends of WTT alike.
How does Welcome To Tarkov change the game?
As a mod, WTT overhauls SPT AKI, touching on almost every vanilla game system, as well as adding completely new systems to the game and its core mechanics. Inspired by open-world hardcore survival projects like STALKER: Anomaly and STALKER: GAMMA, WTT takes SPT’s artificial multiplayer MMO difficulty adders and replaces them with a challenging world economy, loot scarcity rebalancing, a lore friendly quest overhaul, and a map-traveling system built from rewritten portions of the Traveler mod allowing seamless travel between maps. Aside from its changes to the game’s core properties, WTT also adds to the world’s variety of traders, NPC’s, characters, items, and quests:
- Over 500 custom bundles adding new weapons, attachments, wearables, containers, food, medical, and barter items.
- New bosses with their own custom gear that will be properly incorporated into WTT’s quest lines.
- New, meaningful traders with their own lore-friendly quests and narrative elements to help the player progress through the story-line of WTT.
- New playable characters and outfits that will add to the player’s customization abilities.
- New quest types incorporating brand new map extraction points, putting the player’s knowledge and familiarization of SPT’s maps to the test.
Welcome To Tarkov stands as one of the largest mods created for SPT AKI thus far.

IWI's latest 5.56 NATO rifle has arrived in Tarkov.
This was a collaborative project between 3D modeler Civok and the WTT team.
The 3D model and textures of this weapon were created from scratch by Civok.
I reworked a lot of the animations on this container to make it look right.
Thanks to Rexana for the textures on the new MBUS 3 iron sights.
Thanks to both Ehtacs and Moloc for balancing.
