Another Fuckin' Plate Mod 1.0.4

Price/weight/penalty values need a lot of tweaking still; consider this a preview.


This mod is based on Kobrakon's Realistic Plate System; I just have different feelings on balance and interoperability that I wanted to optimize for.


This will convert only actual plate carriers in the game into a form with removable plates; integrated armors will still work as before.


Bots have been updated to use the plates as well, and bosses will always have the same armor as their vanilla versions. Airdrops should also be able to contain plates for resupply in the field.

  • Does this work with 3.7.3 or 3.7.1?

  • Hey Gayleta, I'm new to your plate mod, I'm sure it probably isn't ready to work on 3.5.5 but do you have a possible eta on it? Also even when going back versions I get the same airdrop error.

  • Bot USEC & BEAR don't have plates in their armor...

  • It would be nice to add support for the Russian version of the game. I don't even mean translation. And at least a normal display of the names and descriptions of the plates. Even in English.

    • he just hasn't figured out yet how to correctly specify the description of objects in the new ingenious iteration, you can't blame, not all people have time to sit at home for days and check what else they decided to change in the new iteration aki

  • Additional Gear seems to break the server, don't know if I'm just stupid or this is known. :]

    • Thanks for letting me know, it looks like there's an issue with mods that clone from base items that I modify. I'm looking into what might be going on.

    It feels and looks great even at this stage!

    When I downloaded the original mod, I also did not share the author's vision in terms of balance, but the idea itself is great. And then everything coincides so much that I go back to play in the PO, and the next day I see this miracle, just such an implementation as I wanted!
