Clear thermals, nvgs, and scopes. Original mod by jc980.

JC980 was like props, why you dumb and update my old clearnvgs mod?

So he told me to update this one.. this is what you guys get.

original mod:

  • Hey for all of you that still want to use this mod for 3.9.8, it still works. This is a common fix to make ~3.6-3.7 mods be able to work for 3.9.8 in general.

All you need to do is go to package.json in the file and change

    "akiVersion": "3.6*", to
    "sptVersion": "~3.9",

I tested, works fine for me

  • If I want a more realisitc night vision - having at least some grain in, what should "...noisescale/...noiseintensity" be equal to (or other settings)? Is 1 default that the game has?

    • i wouldn't use this mod .. its outdated. Use the other night vision mod that has realistic settings

    • Thank you for the answer!

  • Some reason makes this mod with the T7 not work it only flickers for ~0.1 sec also unsure if it has to do with:

    hub.sp-tarkov.com/files/file/1201/
    • its not this mod, its the tarky debug mod probably

    • what debug ?

      Tarky menu debug

      Thumbs Up 1
  • can this be used for 3.5.7?

    Thumbs Up 1
  • Is there a way that I could configure settings for the thermal scopes?

    • extract text files for settings in the bundles using AssetStudio. modify text files, reimport into bundle.

    • Thanks

  • First of all, this is an amazing mod! I'm already paying out the wazoo to get a thermal sight, might as well make it decent!

Second, is there a possibility to remove the screen updating animation from the FLIR-32 sight? The one that goes from top to bottom? It is very annoying when trying to get those long range hits. Thank you for everything!

  • Is it possible to extend the viewing distance of the FliR scope using this mod? I am getting sick of being sniped at 500m+ with accurate headshots and not being able to see/find them and the FliR doesn't see far enough. Thanks for keeping this updated and available.

  • работает на версии 3.5.3

  • Will it work on 3.5.3?

    • it should, you'll get a version warning but it doesn't matter.

  • image.png

It is missing this package, i have re downloaded the mod multiple times any one know how to fix this?

    • the package.json should be included.. maybe you installed mod wrong.

mod is unzipped to your aki/user/mods folder.

    • I got it figured out, thank you!

  • Do I need the original mod for this update to work?

    • No you do not

  • anyone know which scope is best with this NVG mod?
the ones I tried all lose depth and reflected light

    • Set the diffuse intensity to 0.00. It's not perfect but it helps. I'll mess around with positive values later.

EDIT: Turns out this has nothing to do with the brightness. All it does is affect a type of filter similar to noise but without particles. It makes the view in nightvision more granular similar to how it looks on an old CRT, lower values make it seem more like true vision. The higher you go, the more "electronic" it looks.

    • thanks, I'll give it a try

  • Does anyone know how to modify the gamma settings for the T-7? I just updated from 3.3.0 to 3.5.0 and the T-7s seem super dark now.

  • How to increase thermal vision distance?
    Anyone knows?

    • you have to modify the unity bundle.

    • got an asset bundle extractor, but don't know what to look for to edit the range for t7 and flir, any tips?

    • i don't remember off the top of my head.. only a couple files it could be though :)

    • files i found, i opened bundle, and dont know what to look for XD

  • Has anyone that's been around the block with this mod more than me settled on what seems to be the "most realistic" settings?

    • well schofield has his realistic nv mod that he ripped from this one :)

You can use the same settings in terms of intensity and diffusion... or just use his mod but that means you go back to monoculars and limited field of view.

  • For some reason the night visions are so bright with this mod that I can't see anything, because the sky is just blinding me even tho it's the middle of the night and I can't see anything without NVGs, any idea?

    • just adjust the values in the config.

The reason is because my desktop brightness is dark and always on the eye care mode so i have to turn it super bright :)

      ? 1
    • Is it the intensity level that I should try to change on each NVG?

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Great mod! Love it, 10/10, only small issue is with the T7s i can see but the blue filter is STROOONG any way i can config it to fix this??

    • LMAO never mind i figured it out XD

      Happy 1
  • A great mod, just the kind I was looking for. Thank you for your efforts. Great job 😎👍

  • cant attatch the T7 to TATM. any advice?

  • Any other palettes for T-7?

    • like green-red palette for FLIR

  • Honestly my favorite mod ever. The OG being broken got me into coding so I could hack future NVG mods to allow to adjust the color. Ive struggled since 3.2.3. Thank you

    Happy 1
  • Yo, how do I attach the N-15 Dual tube NVGs to the TATM?

  • thanks for the mod.

Thermal T-7 doesn't seems to work for me, just apply a blurry edge overlay.

    • are you using Seraphims debug tool mod? That breaks the thermal goggles.

It also has a terrible memory leak so i would not use unless you absolutely need it.

      Heart 1
    • you talk about that ?
      SERVPH's Tarky Menu

EDIT : after reading comment, it's seems it's that mod, will try without.
      Thanks for the warning

EDIT2 : Work flawlessly without tarky menu.

      Thumbs Up 1
  • Thanks you !

  • what does it even change ? the original mod works on 3.3.0 even though its not updated

    • Yes but the bundles have been organized so that they should be far distance looking and the package json has been updated.

  • lol at the desc

    Happy 1
