De-Clutterer - Updated by CJ 1.2.2

Ever get tired of seeing a bunch of clutter around the map? Mistake these clutter items for actual loot? Want some more performance? Then get sweeping boys! De-Clutterer removes map clutter as much as possible.

Taking over maintenance for Tyrian. I have permission from Tyrian to take this over for now. They are listed as an additional author. Will hand it back to them if they ever come back to SPT and would like to take it back over.

See information for the mod here on the original page: De-Clutterer

  • Version 1.2.2

If you're coming from version 1.1.6 you MUST delete the old version before installing this.

    - removes unscrutinised declutter option as it was causing many objects never intended to be touched to disappear.

    - This fixes the missing Goshan roof problem

    - This also fixes a-lot of other things being gone that were never intended to be removed. Doors in some cases, cars, etc.

  • Version 1.2.1

If you're coming from version 1.1.6 you MUST delete the old version before installing this. If you're coming from 1.2.0 read below.

    - This update fixes an edge case where the white trees could still happen. If it wasn't happening for you on 1.2.0 you don't need to update for now, but I strongly advise that you do. Enjoy!

  • Version 1.2.0

This update REQUIRES you uninstall the previous version 1.1.6 before installing as the mod structure has changed. It now lives in its own subdirectory.

    - Fixed white tree bug when using high textures. The texture divider no longer does anything when "High" textures are selected in the graphics settings. It will work for all other level of graphics. This is a compromise for those who want to clean up trash and use the mods other features who still have good enough computers to play with high textures.

    - Refactored a good portion of the mod

    - Removed redundant code

    - Litter, debris, etc can now be selectively ignored in `bepinex/plugins/Declutterer/CleanUpNames.json`

Note: Do not attempt to add or delete anything from this list. Only change from true to false or vise versa to ignore objects in clean up.

  • Version 1.1.6

  • I fixed the two major bugs this mod had coming from 3.7.6. Anything beyond that may or may not ever get fixed. I'm simply the current maintainer, which means making sure references are updated and it gets recompiled between versions when needed. Nothing more, nothing less. I wont be actively developing or fixing bugs.

  • Anyone else running this mod having trouble getting Streets to run. I get up to "starting local game" an then the game just freezes up.

One of my streamer friends said this mod can stop Streets from loading but I also read somewhere else that Waypoints can cause this issue as well.

EDIT: After doing some testing myself I can confirm that Declutter was stopping Streets to load

  • how do i know the mod is active? because it doesn't show on the spt launcher

  • I was having an issue with all textures downgrading to an indiscernible mess and I saw bakahashi's solution he posted for the old version (1.1.6) so I went ahead and made similar changes for the latest version by simply commenting out any code related to textures. It seems to have worked based on a quick load into the game. It shows up in the F12 menu & textures are functioning correctly again with no errors that I could see in the log.

Please be aware I have not tested extensively.

  • Thank you for making this mod! I am a Chinese player and I want to ask may I repost your mod to our website? Of course I will indicate the source and your name

    • Sure, my only condition is you link the source code on the post so people who know how to build it can build it without jumping through hoops to get the mod on your website.

    • I will include your GitHub, thank you again!

  • does this mod only work on version 3.8.0?

  • With this mod my trees become blocky, after i removed the mod it went back to normal.

Sadly the laggy mess that Tarkov is also returned without this mod, is there any way i can fix this ? It makes sniping almost impossible since the AI basically just hide behind blocky textures. If i move closer the trees become normal again, it's only in the distance.

The Lod/view distance slider does not seems to do anything to change this.

I've already messed with all the sliders and options and i could not fix the issue that way. I found it was this mod by searching on google and finding others with the same issue on reddit.

    Thumbs Up 1
  • thank you for keeping there mods up to date for use not sure what happen to tyr but i know there mods or in good hands

  • doies this work correctly as i still see some items on maps that were supposedly removed

    • I fixed the two major bugs this mod had coming from 3.7.6. Anything beyond that may or may not ever get fixed. • Hey Cj, you already know about bugs in case of missing gates textures and wagons on customs? when i turn off the mod everthing is fine. Actually i only reconized it on customs

    • I may or may not look into it, having fixed the major issue this had on 3.7.6 i'm not sure i'm going to give it much more attention other than keeping it up to date

  • Just a heads up the high texture quality is still slightly borked. turning up LOD caused the white "armor plates" to show up again

    • Yeah I thought I had fixed it, I got a couple people testing an expiremental fix. If you're in the discord you can ping me for it @cj

  • wat RP3vbLybl_vt

yeah gave it a scan its all good but please dont use .7z in the future it sux :(

  • Windows is now flagging version 1.2.0 as a Trojan/virus - Threat blocked by Windows Security

Why would the latest version have Windows security block a threat and the previous versions never had one?

I know in the changelogs you mentioned that the mod structure has been changed but I don't understand why Windows would flag a virus for it. Have you added some other files or applications to De-Clutter for v1.2.0?

    • No its the .7z format, windows flags it sometimes but not others, its quite annoying

    • Yeah the .7z format is really strange with Windows, I just wanted to bring this to light in case other users wanted to make sure it is safe to install.

After a quick search on Google it does say that this particular Trojan or Malware is a very serious risk to Windows computers because it has access to very important files and folders which it can manipulate at free-will or if the attacker initialises a setting, program or an application on your computer and it's a pain in the arse to quarantine or to eliminate completely. After losing 2 other computers to viruses it's stuff like this that makes me very worried.

  • Truely life saving mod. Thank you so much!

  • Still getting white trees on high settings at Woods.

    • What are your exact settings, I did about 10 raids in a row and never seen them after my change

    • Yep. Same at Customs

    • im getting it too. tried put everything to max setting, the white trees still there, tho it pushed back to quite a distance, like around 100~150 meter ish. playable tho, but yeah, not pretty to look at

    • I've got a couple people testing a fix for it theres a couple edge cases i didnt notice, looks like its going well. Ill post it later if there are no problems

  • Does anyone know how to turn on spring on client 29577???

  • Does this mod make explosion effects disappear?

  • This is a brilliant mod. I can finally play Street of Tarkov at a steady FPS.

  • Wait, so the white textured trees that load in at a way too short distance are because of this mod? Shoreline looks wack as F hahaha. Thanks for updating.

  • COMPLETELY UNTESTED, but i redid my fork that just removes the texture settings here: https://github.com/glentakahas…et472/TYR_DeClutterer.dll

    code here: https://github.com/glentakahas…DeClutterer/tree/gt/3.8.0

    • I used this and it's worked perfect. I haven't encountered any issues so far. Thanks for linking it

    • yea thanks for this! it annoyed me that the textures looked so bad but i didnt wanna remove declutter

  • I didn't understand from the description. What exactly does this mod do???

    • It removes all the small trash and items from the ground and, well, declutters the map from assets that are not really needed.

      Thumbs Up 1
  • is this using an updated version of the dll edit that one guy made to fix the medium textures requirement?

    • No, I'm going to look into an actual fix, instead of just commenting out features. We think we know why it happens

    • very well then, appreciate the response

  • much appreciated, thanks for updating this mod.

    Thumbs Up 1
  • Cool! Textures downgrade problem solved?
