Featured Lotus 1.2.5

Please do not ask when mod authors will update their mods to v3.8.3. Bothering mod authors will lead to warnings and repeat offenses will lead to eventual bans.

Lotus is a merchant who travels all around the world to different places, like the city of Tarkov. Some people see it a hopeless case but Lotus sees opportunities. For her business is business, and Tarkov is the perfect place for it.

Lotus currently comes with 134 Custom Quests:

92 for Lotus, 17 for Prapor, 13 for Peacekeeper, 5 for Skier, 3 for Ragman, 3 for Jaeger, 1 for Fence


However you will not be able to do all of them by default since there are some questlines where you need to pick the trader, currently the only 2 big questlines which you can choose are for Prapor and Peacekeeper


A lot of the Quests unlock New Trades.

If you play with Softcore, Hardcore Rules, without Flea Market or on a ZeroToHero profile, this might be for you.


Her first quest appears at level 5


I highly recommend to keep making backups of your profile, especially when updating or removing the mod

    - Some quests required "Bodyguard" kills, however they were missing Shturman's guards

    - If you were high level and completed her first quest, you would get like 20 quests, this is now fixed, now the intro leads to a few other small starting quests, which then lead to the main quests

    - Barter for modded MK-18 Mjolnir increased from 1 AESA to 3 AESAs

    - Moved the LL2 AKS-74UB build to LL3

    - Moved the LL2 MP155 Ultima build to LL3

    - Moved the LL2 Vector .45 build to LL3
    - Moved the LL2 P90 build to LL3

    - modded MK-18 barter, AXMC, Alusplint,Calok-B, Propital, Zagustin, Obdolbos, Trimadol, Meldonin, Perfortoran, MULE, ETG, Zhuk DFL, Vulkan, Thor armor, Zabralo and "meta" SVD

    - Fixxed an Issue with the quest "Light of the Lotus - part 12" where you werent able to finish the quest for some reason.

    - Fixxed an Issue where you were able to complete both "Valuable Payment" from Skier and "New Dealer in Town" from Lotus even tho completing one of these should fail the other one, this only occured if you only accepted one quest and completed it before accepting the other one.

    - Changed the amount of roubles needed for these 2 quests from 9000 to 3500 because it really was too much

    - Changed the unlock level for these quests to 30

  • Just wanted to drop this here rq, if anyone notices that you can buy an item from Lotus (Level 4 especially since it has the highest selling rate) and resell it for more money to her again, feel free to report that to me :thumbup:

    • hello, this is a SPT bug, ive seen it happen with other traders and i think vanilla quests too, it doesnt break anything as far as i know, you can click "show locked" and uncheck it again and they should disappear :thumbup:

  • Is there any way to increase the price of items that Lotus sells? I know about the buy price coef to change how much she pays for items sold to her, but I'd like to increase the price of the items she sells as well so that she isn't undercutting every other trader xD Thanks!

    • Hello, you would need to do that manually for every item she sells in the assort.json located in lotus/db, but im currently working on the balance of most items, might just take a while tho because of irl stuff

    I have SWM and Realism. Tried changing load order - nothing helped.

    • How exactly did you change the load order? SVM needs to be loaded after lotus

    • I changed with LOE (Load Order Editor) and with notepad++ in order.json - i changed Lotus LO several times (before\after SVM) + i changed several times Realism position (just for testing sake) + i reinstall Lotus - nothing. 1st launch was normal without changing LO, second launch - error with same mods and LO. No matter of LO - error always the same.

    • hmm, i really dont know what could be the issue then sorry, if no load order works, ig you could try disabling some trader related settings in SVM and realism and see if that helps

    • And i know what is problem. Its focking filters in "container" tab in SVM. If you check them, so you can put any item in any container - error 100%. If you disable - load without problem. And this is only filters - you can change number of slots in containers without error.


      SO your mod react to this option ON or your mod react to 1 of many container types with this option ON.

  • Do I still have to do step 3? and if so why?

    3. Make sure that Server Value Modifier [SVM] loads after Lotus and SPT Realism Mod before Lotus

    • Some people were having Issues with both SVM and Realism each if the load order was wrong, by default mods get loaded alphabetically tho, so if you encounter any issues with the trader stock or errors in the server console you should change the load order, hope this helped ^^

  • I'm having trouble getting into Labs. I have the key requirement turned off an even an access card but it still won't let me in.


    The odd thing is it's showing a keycard with a blue mark on it which I think is also the model of the Lotus keycard but I've been unable to get that card.


    Do I actually need that card to get into labs now?

    • Hello, no you dont need the card to get into labs, normal access cards work fine, you need to complete the quest Light of the Lotus part 16 to unlock the barter,
      i think this can be fixed by changing the load order for SVM and Lotus, otherwise this feature probably needs to be turned off

  • Is there a way to adjust the amount Lotus pays when selling items to her? I'd like to reduce the amount some so that vanilla traders like Therapist still pay the most for meds etc

    • Hello, yes, you need to go to the base files found in user/mods/Lotus/db and then base.json, scroll down till you see loyalty levels, each one has "buy_price_coef", higher number means less money given when selling items :thumbup:

  • I can't figure out what the error is. The error appears when I go into the game and load the profile. I tried to go to a raid with an error, it started generating loot for about 10 minutes. What could be the problem?

  • Hello! Thanks for creating this amazing trader at first. Just want to ask some stupid questions.

    Lotus is the first mod I installed before Virtual Quest Manager. I am afraid that this mistake affected Lotus's quests so that's why even I reached 21lv. The quest did not even show up. Then I tried to delete this mod and reinstall it. But the questline still does not appear. Please tell me what can I do to reactivate the beginner quest of Lotus. Big thanks! (sorry I tried my best to type Poor English please ignore some grammar mistakes)

    • Hello, you need to install Virtual's Custom Quest Loader first, and then Lotus, make sure to drop in all files, your server should say something like "134 custom quests loaded" or more if you have other traders with quests, you can check the installation guide for more details ^^

    • Hello, you need to change the load order of SVM to make it load after Lotus, this should fix it :thumbup:

      I recommend using the load order editor for that

  • Just a bit of feedback, it would be nice if the ammo quests unlocked crafting recipes for some of the high tier ammo.


    The m67 grenade is way too cheap compared to peacekeepers quest locked option.


    The sugar is a bit too cheap and easy to unlock (iirc).

      For crafts there would need to be a second mod but im not sure if it even works with custom traders

    • Welp I guess I'll find out, as I just finished writing the lines for it without checking that. Yeah you would prob have to require morehideoutcrafts, as that's what I'm using to do it.

  • As one of the few people who actually reads the quest text in Tarkov, I must say that the dialogue for Lotus is quite jarring and the wording seems to depart from what I think is the intended characterization of her is. Has anyone offered to do a touch up Lotus's text before?

    • Im not an expert at writing, english is also my 3rd language and im only 17 at the moment, so its a bit harder for me to tell if they sound normal to others but i might take my time and see what i can improve on them and thanks for the feedback:thumbup:

    • Hello, if it didnt load any quests it means you forgot the questfiles, can you check the folder inside virtuals custom questloader/database/quests, it should have files for each custom trader that has quests

  • Hi, can you give some details on the prerequisites for Checkmate - Part 8?


    I'm on the latest version of Lotus, and I have done up to Light of the Lotus 20, am also on Tarkov Cleaner - Shoreline, etc.


    I was successfully able to start and complete Narcotic Part 2 so I'm not sure if I'm affected by the previous bug that made Checkmate and Narcotic unstartable.

      I made a mistake in my earlier post. When I checked my completed quests, I actually never received Checkmate Part 7. Lotus only gave me up to part 6. Is there something I'm missing from another trader, or is this a different bug?

      I can confirm I am on the latest version of Lotus.

    • for checkmate part 7 you need to complete some prapor quests first, you need to complete ruaf infiltrator part 4 and then you should get some quest from prapor, just progress through those and you should get checkmate part 7 and 8 :thumbup:

      I found an additional bug, I think.


      On Checkmate Part 7, my PMC kills were not counting with an AK-74M (Eliminate PMC Operatives while using a AK-74 type rifle equipped with a GP-25 on Reserve).


      However, my kills did count count on scavs, both for the rifle and the underbarrel grenade launcher.


      PMC kills counted with the underbarrel. So, for some reason, I could not progress while killing PMCs with an AK-74M.

  • Providing an update about my issue, ammo seems to be locked to LVL 4 regardless of when it says it will unlock period, I've tried using only it, etc all the things I can think of, stims and her other unlocks show at the proper level however anything related to ammo is locked to 4 regardless and I have used profile editor to check my quest completions, I've tried completing the tasks multiple times on a different profile and everything else one could imagine. The only thing I never removed was SPT Realism as I at least wanted that mod if nothing else, I did reinstall it as well. Other than that really enjoying the mod, wish I could get the ammo but it's really fucking sick and I can't wait for more updates.

    • Hello, this issue is a realism issue yeah, try changing the load order for Lotus, but make sure that SVM (if you have that) loads after lotus

  • ok so for removing items i just set LL level needed to 5:D

    they are gone and dont make errors or smth. so quick and dirty fix to remove stuff you dont want to have in the trader i guess. removed meds f.e. and works fine until now.

    Only problem i have now is the low prices, is it possible to set a price multiplier somewhere in the config and i just dont see it? all other traders have like a multiplier you can set but on lotus i cant find it somehow. but im old and maybe i havent seen it :D

      For prices i dont think i have set up a config for that, you would probably need to adjust them manually for each item, or there is a mod that does it but i couldnt think of one rn

      hmm.. maybe you will consider a multiplier in one of your future updates if its not a lot of work. would love to be able to just adjust a multiplier instead of every single item :P

  • Is there an overview of the quests? I'm currently filling my stash with weapons for the Western Connection questline. An overview of which quest has which dependencies would be very nice.

  • I feel like I'm missing something obvious...but Lotus does not have any items for sale, and I cannot sell anything to her. Anything listed by her on the flea market is LOCKED.

    Any idea what's going on?

    • Hello, do you have realism installed by any chance? if you installed lotus + the questloader correctly this shouldnt be happening, i'd say another mod is causing this, if you have realism try switching the load order of the 2, hope this helps ^^

  • Hi i like the mod but is it somehow possible to remove all the weapons i get from LL1?
    Im not sure which lines to delete :D

    • Hello, happy to hear that you like it ^^
      Deleting them might be kinda complicated (unless you know how to work with json files), you would need to go to the assort.json in user/mods/lotus/db/assort.json
      Also avoid removing weapons that are unlocked through quests, and if you dont know the ID of one of the presets search for the price of it with Ctrl + F :)


      You basically need to delete 3 entries, one is the ID of the gun itself (+ its mods), then the barterscheme and then the loyalty level

      ye i want it to be a little bit more balanced for a "normal" playthrough and for that reason there are a little bit too many guns in the LL1 version of the trader.

      might need to skip it then for that playthrough sadge.
      but will 100% look into it but only later.

    • If you want you can just change the loyalty level, should be very similar, i also plan on balancing and changing a bunch of the weapons but i usually reserve important changes for bigger SPT updates ^^

    • sounds fair :D but ye i think a more balanced trader offer at LL would be awesome so ppl can use it also in their "vanilla" playthrough :P

  • I have a problem with the quest fuel delivery, i dont found the fuel trailer

    • Its directly below the center of the map, where the military vehicles and terragroup truck are but in the underground

    • you can use the skipper mod or profile editor to skip the quest if you want

  • Is there a way for me to disable Lotus from buying bitcoins? She is buying them for way too much money.

    • You would probably need to remove the entire category from her buy categories, you can find it in lotus/db/base.json, should be at the bottom but i dont know exactly which one of the id's is for the bitcoin's category (i think its valuables)

      So you can use the tarkov item finder to look for the correct id's

    • What dictates her buy prices? I think maybe if I lower it some it might be fine.


      EDIT: I got it, I found raising the buy price coef to around 50 felt better.

    • hello, this is normal, you need to clear temp files after changing it, you can do that in the spt launcher in the settings

  • I need a little assistance with RUAF Infiltrator PT. 1. I am having an issue finding the RUAF base on the southeast of shoreline. Im just confused with where that location is.

  • Just want to say I really appreciate the time put into this mod. This trader has a really well thought out variety of items that have a natural progression. Nothing feels op super early like some other traders can, and the items available are really convenient for completing quests like setup which require specific gear. Good job!!


    Edit: just two complaints. Maybe some of the quests can give you more than just .01 rep? The spend between levels also feels slightly high.

      I plan on changing how much rep the quests give based on time + difficulty and objectives, I might make it so loyalty 2 is unlocked a bit easier, but make loyalty 4 unlock more difficult, and I was thinking on changing around a bit what lotus buys and for how much so she doesnt pay better than all traders

    • Please take or leave my feedback, just my opinion but I agree that those might be good changes. The first unlock seems kinda high, and the rep is as well, considering the early quests only give about .01 rep. I think your ideas about what she buys and lowering for certain items would be good, but I think if you're gonna do that definitely lower the amount you have to sell for the first level, otherwise it'll be extra punishing.

    • I think it was an svm issue. moved svm to bottom of load order and it wants to launch now
